Some artists only have one really big hit. I mentioned Nick Lowe before, but didn’t share his only U.S. hit. Well, this was it.
What’s been on your mind? Got something you’d like to share? A topic to discuss? It’s Wednesday Night Open Thread.
Who wants to start?

Ah… that’s the stuff. Enough of that “expanding our horizons” silliness like introducing us to music we’re not familiar with.
Just think if someone wanted to play you some Buggles music and put on Feet Don’t Fail Me Now instead of Video Killed the Radio Star. You’d be justifiably outraged!
Wait… maybe that was Utopia and not the Buggles. Either way, something something, one hit wonder, something something, point justified.
As I worked my way through Weird Al’s catalog and realized last week’s was an unfamiliar (to most in the U.S.) Nick Lowe song, I verified his Billboard status and decided to include him the following week as a one-hit wonder. Not really fair, but technically accurate for the U.S.
When someone unnamed Wakrus posted this in the comments last week, I thought about changing, but I had already scheduled a bunch of posts ahead of time since I’m out of town for many days.
So, you kinda got a repeat. Blame Walrus for being eager or me for being lazy. I don’t care, I’m at Disney World. I’m going to Splash Mountain.
The chocolate dipped Mickey shaped rice crispy treats were surprisingly good. I expected dense and chewy but it was fine. If you’ve got treat points left on your Disney EBT card then I recommend them.
Of course that was 2010 when I was there so your mileage may vary.
