So, highest tide since (Checks math…carry the 3…hmmm) 1969? I seem to recall, given the nature of the soil, Venice is sinking as well. I don’t know how much since Woodstock but I doubt that has anything to do with corruption.

Venice is sinking. It has been sinking since they built it. They have to keep making fixes to keep it from going under the sea every century or so.
But that was the before.
We’re in the glorious Now! where everything is caused by global worming and can only be fixed by giving money and power to Al Gore.
If somebody would only blow up the moon, then these tides wouldn’t be as much of a problem.
Flooding is not a thing that should come as a surprise to people who live in a city that has streets of water.
