I saw some news about Nancy Pelosi, Slurrer of the House, finally sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate. She also named the prosecutors for the president’s trial. And I’m trying to make sense of the whole thing. Then it hit me: it’s just a comedy skit on Donald Trump’s latest TV show, “Who Wants To Be A President?”

Pelosi kept saying how urgent this whole process was, and it dragged on for months and months and months. That was the first clue.

Then, when they finally got around to impeaching the president, because it’s so critical to save the country you see, she said she would hold on to the articles of impeachment and send them later, when she got around to it. Because nothing says urgency like putting things in a drawer and going on vacation. So, another clue.

Now, they’ve announced the actual House prosecutors, and right off the bat, another clue. California Rep. (short for reprehensible) Adam Schiff, who is — get this — chair of the Intelligence Committee. Get it? Intelligence? Adam Schiff? That’s comedy gold, I tell ya.

Then, New York Rep. Jerry Nadler, who once described the impeachment of Bill Clinton as “a partisan railroad job” is one of those heading up this partisan railroad job.

I stopped reading the news story then because I had to catch my breath from the laughter. Then the phone rang or I saw something shiny but I never got back around to reading it all.

But, does it spoil all the magic? Is it like when you found out that wresting was not real? That it was all a “work?” Or are you still able to enjoy the show?

I can hardly wait for it to show up on Netflix.
