Raising The Stakes

So, President Trump blew up an Iranian general who was in Iraq directing terrorist attacks against the U.S.

Iranian? As in from Iran? The place that regularly calls for “Death to America” (“Marg bar Āmrikā”/مرگ بر آمريكا.)? That Iran?

The Iran that had people attacking the U.S. embassy in Iraq this past week? That Iran?

The Iran that killed Americans a few weeks back? That Iran?

And now Democrats are worried that Trump is gonna start a war?

Well, the president certainly isn’t loading up pallets with cash and flying it to Iran, that’s for sure. But starting a war?

Iran has been threatening America, killing Americans, sending terrorists to attack people, all for some time. It’s not Donald Trump that starting a war.

To be sure, I don’t like the idea of U.S. soldiers putting on uniforms, getting on planes, and flying off to that part of the world, ready to go to battle if necessary.

I’m not one that’s just sitting at a keyboard, saying he doesn’t like the idea. I say it because I didn’t like it when I actually did put on my uniform, got on an airplane, and flew off to that part of the world, ready to go to battle if necessary. But I did it, because it was what needed to be done.

Perhaps Iran realizes that Donald Trump isn’t Barack Obama. Perhaps Iran realizes that despite the Democrats attacking the president, he’s still president. Perhaps Iran realizes that President Trump can and will send drones to to blow Iranians to smithereens if they attack U.S. citizens.

Perhaps they realize that Iranians that chant “Death to America” and claim that they are ready to be martyrs, stand a good chance of getting their wish.

  1. Perhaps Iran realizes that Donald Trump isn’t Barack Obama…perhaps the world realizes that Donald Trump isn’t Barack Obama. The Ayatollahs will have to wait for another Dem president before they can expect another plane load of money and a good ol kiss of their collective hinders ’cause Trump don’t play that.

    • Whatever the world thinks I hope that AMERICANS realize this and stop electing Obamas and his ilk cause in the end that’s what REALLY matters. One Trump or one Reagan isn’t enough. We need like 50 of them … consecutively.

Looks like Trump is finally starting to drain the swap at the Department of Education so we’ll see …

    • I’m surprised the UN hasn’t passed a non-binding resolution yet accusing him of war crimes. As you know ANY military action taken by a Republican that doesn’t advance the socialist agenda or weaken the US is by definition a war crime.

I don’t understand why the US continues to fund and host an organization whose charter is essentially to weaken it and work against its fundamental principles.
