  1. And the truth, of course, is in between the extremes: Vaccines work most of the time, but sometimes fail. If your chance of failure is 5%, then the chance for two failures at the same time(and therefore transmission between two vaccinated individuals) is 0.25%. If 8 months out from vaccination the effectiveness has waned to 70%, dual vaccine failures between two vaccinated people will still be below 10%. Vaccine passports are not pointless. They’re possibly wrong for reasons of privacy, sure. But far from pointless.

    • The vaccines do not provide immunity from the virus, they merely provide the anti-bodies to help the individual’s body fight the effects of the virus, thus limiting the impact on the vaccinated. The vaccinated are still carriers, just less effected by it.

It ain’t a magic fix folks, it is a choice to get ahead of the virus and allow your body to fight it on its own when the real thing hits.

Personally, I had covid twice: First time kicked my butt for a week. Second time felt like a much milder version for a day. The second round was mitigated by the fact my body had the anti-bodies to fight the effects.

I will not be getting any shots or passports, just washing my hands and masking in crowds while being considerate of others choices and potential for exposure (i.e., not judging/commenting about a mask/missed handshake and self-isolating for a day or so when I don’t feel ‘right’…you know, common sense and decency).

It is a personal choice but please don’t throw phony math while promoting an agenda.
