Google To Expand Misinformation “Prebunking” in Europe
Associated Press | February 13, 2023 | David Klepper

After seeing promising results in Eastern Europe, Google will initiate a new campaign in Germany that aims to make people more resilient to the corrosive effects of online misinformation.

The tech giant plans to release a series of short videos highlighting the techniques common to many misleading claims. The videos will appear as advertisements on platforms like Facebook, YouTube or TikTok in Germany. A similar campaign in India is also in the works.

It’s an approach called pre-bunking, which involves teaching people how to spot false claims before they encounter them. […]

Google’s new campaign in Germany will include a focus on photos and videos, and the ease with which they can be presented [as] evidence of something false.

Adams: We May Need Vax Mandates Again, It ‘Wasn’t Right’ for People to Do Whatever They Wanted
Breitbart ^ | 02/11/2023 | Ian hatchett

On Friday’s broadcast of Caribbean Power Jam Radio’s “The Reset Show,” New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) defended the city’s coronavirus vaccine mandate for city workers that is being rescinded because “we’re seeing a normalization of COVID,” and stated that the fact that employees said, “I want to do whatever I want. That just wasn’t right.” Adams also said that “there may be another time that we’re going to have to do mandates again because these viruses are not going away.”

… neither are the cold and flu viruses. The liberals have found their pretext.

In Requiem

We here at IMAO, and me personally, are sadden to announce the passing of our greatest intern.

Raquel Welch, a longtime actress, international sex symbol and Golden Globe winner, has died, PEOPLE confirms. She was 82.

Welch “passed away peacefully early this morning after a brief illness,” her manager Steve Sauer confirmed to PEOPLE on Wednesday.

Sauer added, “Her career spanned over 50 years starring in over 30 films and 50 television series and appearances. The Golden Globe winner, in more recent years, was involved in a very successful line of wigs. Raquel leaves behind her two children, son Damon Welch and her daughter Tahnee Welch.”

TMZ was first to report the news.

Welch made her film debut in the mid 1960s, with breakout roles in 1966’s Fantastic Voyage and One Million Years B.C. that same year.

She would go on to star in dozens of films, including 1973’s The Three Musketeers, which earned her a Golden Globe for best actress in a motion picture comedy or musical.

No Cartoons and Memes today out of respect.

We will miss you Miss Welch.

Straight Line of the Day: What Was the Robot Going To Do With Its Freedom?

Supermarket Robot Escapes
Liberty Daily | 2/12/23 | JD Rucker

“Marty,” a cleaning robot that has been a fixture at Giant Food in Hellertown, Pennsylvania, since 2019, experienced freedom briefly last week when it was able to leave the store. It made it all the way out to the parking lot before being recaptured and redirected.

Straight Line of the Day: What was the robot going to do with its freedom?

Babe? Or the gun.

“Miss Lawless, always a pleasant surprise but where is Miss Ireland?”

“She is out scouting more cars for the Classic Car Competition. Hopefully back next week. She did leave me last week’s winner.”

“Excellent, do you have something for me as well?”

“Yes I do. I’ve dusted off an oldie, The Babe or the Gun poll.”

“That’s… it?”

“Yes. Were you expecting something more?”

“Kind of.“

“I feel your disappointment.”

“Well I could suggest other things but… roll out the winner and the new poll.”
