Finally, Something Political

Man, I’m having almost too much fun to be getting per diem.
Anyway, today there was a talk by some punk saying there should be “hacktivism” against the Republican National Convention. He wanted as many right wing sites taken down as possible (remind me to back up IMAO) and was going to list the names and phone numbers and what plays each Republican delegate is going to so they could be hassled.
Total tool. A complete toolshed, in fact. Hell, this guy could be a whole ACE Hardware store.
He was all about anarchy, saying capitalism is the problem, and that stealing from the rich for benefit of the poor is justified. He kept saying he wouldn’t do anything himself, but was publishing this information so others could do things, to which I said, “RICO.” While a few in the audience were sympathetic, most were definitely looking at this muckadoo and thinking, “What a tool.”
When it came to questions, one person came stood up and gave him a good verbal berating and got a huge applause. When the muckadoo said he was justified because of all dead from the war and again mentioned bombing, one of the audience shouted, “So is it okay to bomb you?” Then he defended himself, saying that the American Revolutionaries would have been considered terrorists by the British, to which someone yelled, “Yeah, but they were capitalists!”
This guy wasn’t worth a serious rebuttal, so I held up my hand to ask one of these questions:
“I hate poor people and hippies; is there a hacktivism group for me to join?”
“I like this idea of hassling people we disagree with. You should get a list of NRA members and hassle them.”
“You keep mentioning how people are making money off of war. Could you expand more on how to do that?”

Unfortunately, I didn’t get called on. It was ended early by those who ran the conference, one saying, “I’m all for fighting tyranny… but do so responsibly.”
To which the muckadoo yelled, “By any means necessary!”
I like that slogan, “Fight responsibly… by any means necessary!
Man, it was hilarious. Wish you all could have seen it. As I was walking out, one guy ahead of me remarked, “That was such an idiot. Anyway, Republicans and Democrats are just two sides of the same coin.”
To that usual moderate drivel I said, “All I know is that I want low taxes and dead foreigners.”
To his credit, the guy cracked up.
Well, I found out today that Guinness tastes sweet if you drink it right after doing a shot of whiskey. It’s soon time for another meeting over cigars and drinks and possibly a visit to the craps table.
Remain honorable, ronin.

  1. Wow. I wish I could have been there. Crazy people are funny.
Did you see those marines who stood up to John Kerry and Wendy’s. I know there not supposed to do that but I’m glad they did. I wish I could have been there too. I need to get out more often.

  2. A disclaimer is an official request to not be sued. If disclaimers were worth a shit everyone would publish a general disclaimer and attorneys would be out of business. If anyone is taken down, sue every son of a bitch who advocated it. I might even accept jury duty for that case.

  3. Well let’s see here.
The left accuses Bush of lying, racism, and taking away freedom of speech.
The left has lied (Joe Wilson, Michael Moore, Sandy Berger). The left supports affirmitive action, and the left wants to take away freedom of speech; i.e. shutting down right wing sites. Also Canada banned fox news but welcomed Al-Jezeera.
So far, it looks like the left is everything they say they hate in the right. Also, Bush hasn’t lied, isn’t racist, and he doesn’t silence the liberal media (which is most of the media).

How quaint! A regular Robin Hood, man in tights….
“Fight responsibly… by any means necessary!”

  5. About as crazy as the people I ran into on AOL’s message boards earlier. The ones who weren’t saying either “(curse word) (derogatory term for black people) are all (stupid/thieves/the same/etc.)” were saying EVERYTHING is Bush’s fault. I wish I could link to that crap. Insane. I had no idea there were so many people who are SO STUPID. I mean really, really, it’s good for them natural selection doesn’t apply to humans in 1st world countries, stupid.

  6. It’s pretty amusing to hear people claim to be anarchists and then solicit communist-style anti-capitalist agitation. Even the commies don’t want to be called commies, they want to pretend to be anarchists.

  7. “You keep mentioning how people are making money off of war. Could you expand more on how to do that?”
If you need an investor, drop me a line.
P.S. For a real treat, dip the end of your cigar (the one that goes in your mouth) in brandy before smoking.
    Regards.

  8. Kind of off topics folks, but awhile back I e-mailed the Kerry campaign questioning his Catholicism. I basically just asked him how he can be Catholic yet espouse anti-Catholic beliefs. Anyway, after about two months, I finally got a form letter, (thanks for your input, we’ll get back to you). Then today I received a letter from the campaign asking for help, and if I would sign up to be a volunteer. I almost trashed it, then decided what the he**…I can at least see what is going on. Hot damn!!! They let me see the names of all the Kerry supporters in a 25 mile radius. (Of course, some of them could be ‘undercover GOPers like me, but I really doubt there are too many of those on there). Now I know which of my neighbors need to have ‘adjustments’.
Oh, and volunteers get ‘points’ for bringing in new e-mailers, bloggers, hosting a party for Kerry, etc. You don’t get anything for the points, you just get points. (Very indicative of the empty promises Kerry is giving!!!)
I need to get to work. I’m like 614,204 down the list for points.
Anyway, just thought I ‘d pass it on.

  9. How can an anarchist, who is supposedly against any form of government control (including socialism, thus he is a capitalist), be against removing the worst kind of controlling government, a tyranny? These people must be the types that get a medal even if they lose.

  10. Frank, you BASTARD! You were at Defcon too? Hell, If’n I’da knowed that, I’da invited ya over for a little (or a lot) of drinking and mocking of the under-30 black outfit “haxor” crowd. Plenty of that in my suite.
And it would’ve been nice to have some well-armed backup during the 3am “turn the f***ing music DOWN, you assholes!” screaming fits.
    Lemme know, next time.
