Insanity

Since the numerous defeats faced by Republican candidates, there are some cries about moving the party further to the middle which of course means further to the left. Because that’s really been working well so far.

That’s a bit like saying, “Y’know, I keep getting all these burns on my skin sitting in this frying pan. What to do do, what to do? I know! I’ll pour cold gasoline on my head and jump into the fire!”

It’s time to get out of the frying pan and put the fire out by embracing the conservative core concepts:

  1. Free Markets,
  2. Free People
  3. Family
  4. Faith
  5. Firearms

Because if we keep trying to be Donkey-Lite, we’ll just keep on being Weak-Ass.

Exit Poll Opinion Poll

Like many of you, I watched the election returns on Tuesday night.  After a while of watching the plethora of exit polling data, I formed a strong opinion about them.

Thinking back to that night, I got curious about IMAO reader opinions regarding 2008 exit poll data.  So I thought I’d ask them-you.

Do you like watching exit poll data?

  • #3^^ NO! (66%, 549 Votes)
  • No, not really. (21%, 175 Votes)
  • Yes, they are fascinating. Too bad they had to interrupt them with actual election results. (13%, 109 Votes)

Total Voters: 833

Presidential Election Prediction Talk

Since everyone under the sun, it seems, is predicting the election outcome and its fallout I am compelled to do the same.

Daring anyone to prove me wrong….. I predict that:

  1. Our new President-elect will be male, human and over 35. It will be person who spent a significant portion of their younger years in Asia. Possibly, just possibly even a natural born American citizen who has lived on American soil for 8 or more years.
  2. Our new Vice President-elect will have at the same number of X chromosomes as there are syllables in their day-by-day nicknames. Furthermore this individual will be a parent to multiple children, one serving in the armed forces.
  3. In no particular order, McCain and Obama will easily be the top two vote getters.
  4. Bob Barr (Libertarian) will be a distant but respectable third.
  5. The advanced alien life forms who manipulate us at their whim will have a good laugh in their giant hidden sub-ocean outposts. Admittedly this one will be the hardest to verify.
  6. People will be glad this crap is over until they realize it never… really… is.

A Perfectly Imperfect Response

I get annoyed at the all the Obamaniac’s and their sacred chanting. Don’t you?

Yes, We Can!
Yes, We Can!
Yes, We Can!
Yes, We Can!

So when you hear Obombified people doing this, interupt.
Shake your head sadly and confidently say

No, McCain’t!
No, McCain’t!
No, McCain’t!

I admit it doesn’ make any more sense than ‘Yes We Can” but its also pretty hard to argue with.

Saturday Open Thread

If Obama wins the nomination will Clinton be the Dem. nominee? I foster that hope. Can I convince you of it?
Isn’t it funny that the NYT story about Maverick rumored him to have an affair with Iseman? So Top Gun-Ish, I wonder if there’s a story about Jester and Goose on the horizon.
Of course the thread is open. So have at it.
