I don’t know why you don’t have flood insurance, I live on top of a hill and I was forced to get flood insurance STILL.
Flood insurance? Bah! If you live on top of a hill, then you probably have it because it’s either required by law, or you’re getting screwed by your insurance company.

Jolly I was screwed from the very beginning. Never ever buy your house at auction; it doesn’t come with nice amenities like say… a lawyer or a real-estate agent. Though I did get a 120k house for 60k, that’s half off the cover price!
