The Blogger! He Speaks!

Early book giveaway for Premiere Speakers Bureau. I’ll have to tell my experience hearing one of their speakers in college later.
For now, I wonder if bloggers will ever be popular enough to be speakers that people would pay good money for. I bet I would make a great speaker. I could tell kids about the dangers of not doing drugs – especially when they are doctor prescribed and court ordered.
UPDATE: RightWingNews is givining one away right now as well.

  1. Frank, is this some kind of sick joke??
I check in at 8:21, leave to put my kids on the bus and you post 2 MINUTES LATER?? AAArrrggghhh! At least I can have a life today though, now that you and RWN have both done your contests…of course I really could go and just spend the $30 on the book too as an early Christmas present to myself…nah! this is much more exciting!

  2. Now I’m being excluded from voting based on geographic location as well as by internet speed! 8:23 am, and I’m in the mountain time zone (Fort Collins Represent!) and that makes it 6:23! I’m in college! the earliest I wake up is 10:00! I’m thinking about contacting the ACLU about this one, I think I’d have a case.

  3. 1st prize: posted at 8:11 pm, I checked at 8:12 pm
2nd prize: posted at 10:57 am, I checked at 11:13 am
3rd prize: posted at 4:10 pm, I checked at 4:25 pm
Today’s prize: posted at 8:23 am, I checked at 9:05 pm
This trend is supposed to be going in the opposite direction…
BTW, Frank J., I don’t like RightWingNews’s way of doing things( trivia about his personal life!?), but your method isn’t too great either. You’re just encouraging crack smokers to do what they’ve always done, and being biased against slow connection speed internet users and those who don’t get up at 6am on the West Coast.
I, on the other hand, have never, not once, ever smoked crack or typed first, primero, erste, or any other version of the term meaning “the beginning of a set” anywhere on your posts just to aggravate you or be obnoxious.
I think some sort of trivia not pertaining to personality but also not googlable would be the best way of doing things. But what do I know about internet marketing? V Stands for Vampire is about as well known as Jimmy Valiant…
