Notes and Asides

I’ll try getting back to Bible posts tomorrow. I read some more for Monday, but it was boring and I decided I needed to read a bit more to have something worth posting about (and don’t start telling me how saying the Word of God needs more cowbell is blasphemous; I already know that). I didn’t have time to read yesterday, but will make time tonight.
Also, I have an announcement coming up later today. Actually, it’s a teaser announcement for a big announcement. So this is actually the announcement that I’m going to announce I have an announcement coming.
Anyhoo, stay tuned…

  1. Let me be the first to say that, regardless of which bible story you’re reading, it could totally happen – a real scientist did scientific studies and sciencely proved it. There are pictures availlable on the web.

  2. Try the Ten Commandments. My fave is “Thou shall have no other gods before me.” Isn’t that God saying there are other gods. It doesn’t say “no other gods.” So, by my reading Thor and Shiva are cool, as long as they are after the Big Man.

  3. There are no boring pictures or boring stories in the bible! The word is inherrently fascninating, and to suggest otherwise shows that you are not really a believer full of faith.
Well, except for Jermiah. Jeremiah blows. At least I think it’s Jeremiah. Or maybe it’s Ezra. Or Nunchuck*. I can’t keep those prophets straight.
