The Hate-Filled Lefties

Michelle Malkin had been one putting a lot of pressure to get to the bottom of the Schiavo talking points memo, and, now that it’s been shown to have actually been written by a Republican, the liberals are in a feeding frenzy. While everyone who had been on the issue is taking heat, Malkin seems to get the worst barbs because she’s not only conservative, but she’s also comitted the high crimes of being a minority and a woman (an opinionated one!). For example, she lists some comments from Kevin Drum’s blog.
Now, I read Kevin Drum’s blog as he sometimes has thoughtful analysis (in contrast to Kos and Atrios who are plain polemics), but he a while ago criticized leading conservative blogs for not having comments. But, what are his comments full of? While there are some people capable of a discussion, the main commenters are DU grade nuts. And, now that they’ve attacked Michelle Malkin, it’s personal.
I call jihad! Spread the word! I say we all go to Political Animal regularly and kick some verbal ass in the comments section. We’ll be Drum’s moderators since he doesn’t seem to mind the idiocy and filth there. It’s time to call a spade a spade and a muckadoo a muckadoo.
Who’s with me?
UPDATE: Just to clarify, I’m pretty mad about all this and that affects my wit. It’s not like I expect more from the monkeys in Drum’s comment section (I only comment there out of a Jane Goodall among the chimps sort of curiosity), it’s that I expect more out of Kevin Drum. His comments section is a cesspool of human thought, yet he had the gall to tout how his having comments and many right-wing blogs lacking them shows the left’s accountablilty and openness.
Openness to calling a kind woman a horrible slur, I guess. Drum better either moderate or admit he’s full of it on the blog comment issue.
UPDATE2: Puppy blender to the rescue with making sure more people hear about this.

You are a gallant man and I posted this in your defense. Plus, some moron was going on about the conspiracy theories of the con-cons, so here goes:
“I’m pretty sure Dan Rather thought of that too.
Frank J is a real man, which is more than I can say for most of these sniping individuals calling a woman a c*nt just because of a difference of opinion. Nice work, guys. I thought you folks were into feminism.”
You know, I don’t think sean even is an asshole. He’s a little turd. You know, the kind that a sickly chihuaua oozes from its bottom after a long day.
    Peace with superior firepower,

  2. Well, I threw my comment in there about the original story being about Terri Schiavo. I also added comments about the Zogby poll that accurately described Terri’s condition, as well as how the cussing doesn’t help the cause. Think I’ll get any bites?

  3. Wow, if every reader went there, we could seriously ridicule them completely. See how many things are wrong in this recent post..
That is actually part of the underlying point I was making. There is a significant fraud being perpetrated against the American citizenry, and that is in how conservative media and a majority of it’s most well known public advocates/pundits not only regularly fail to fact check, but also are working to a well coordinated message originating from the top of the GOP. It is one thing to be a partisan, it is quite another to be willing propagandists, especially in a country that values free political speech as highly as America always has. I genuinely believe that the more this is made apparent to the general public the more it will erode the so-called domination of the GOP as it currently is configured. Over the past six months there have been several different and distinctive types of government manipulation of the “free press” publicly exposed through things like Armstrong Williams, GOA described propaganda, PropaGannon, etc. Combine this with the long term erosion the WMD failure, Abu Ghraib, how things in Iraq are really going as well as how they had been since the invasion, and I think the tipping point is either already past or so close to being hit that it won’t be too much longer, and likely in time to affect the 2006 midterms.
However, I also believe it is important to try and aid this process of recognition of the propaganda wars being waged on the American public by their own government. In several previous posts I’ve written over the past few months I have made comparisons to what I see from the MSM on specific significant issues making me think of what reading Pravda and Tass was like. I do not make those comparisons lightly, and I do think there is far too much similarity in the feel between them. The more this can be dealt with, the sooner real important things like fiscal sanity, electoral overhaul to ensure transparency/accountability, and a much more rational national security/foreign affairs policy than what has existed throughout the Bush 43 Administration have a chance at coming about. The only thing that kept the wheels anywhere near the ground through the first term was Colin Powell, and now that he has departed just look at what has been happening ever since with this Administration, especially regarding foreign affairs.
So, what we have here is the conservative media, which fails to fact-check, who are not only partisan but willing propagandists, part of the vast right-wing conspiracy, fueled by freedom of speech, which will all collapse and then all will be good, and a France-like socialist utopia will allow all of existence to become a pure being of thought-bliss, followed by some crap nobody cares about.

  4. He’s deleting comments that disagree with him, mine was deleted after a few hours. I just pointed out that we should have labeled Terri Schiavo a terrorist and moved her to Guantanamo. That way the LLL’ s would have DEMANDED that Terri be fed. LLL logic:
innocent woman starved to death: good
terrorists wearing panties on their head: bad

  5. If the comments are deleted, I should post mine I just made..
Scotian, your comment made me laugh at first, but being in a state of physical illness, it would’ve hurt. I coughed instead.
It’s got all the characteristics of a typical lefty stereotype- the main rule being, of course, if you want to know what’s going on with the left, look at what they accuse the right of doing.
The “Conservative Media”- conservative media?(!) It’s been 100% liberal, but to be fair, it’s not been as influential for about 15 years, but saying that the media is dominantly conservative? If I mis-interpreted, please correct me.
Next, we have the conservative media failing to fact check. Rather is one dastardly neo-con. And of course, none of this would be complete without, yes, the vast right wing conspiracy…”from the top of the GOP..”
“It is one thing to be partisan, but another to be willing propagandists…” Refer back..
Followed by that evil freedom of speech. Oh no! Right wing propaganda! It’s all because of freedom of speech!
Skip ahead to the again obligatory “the American people will recognize this and the Republicans will crumble and we’ll live in a socialist utopia, etc,” then there’s crap I didn’t care enough to read. Yeah, we’ve all heard these paradise predictions before.. “The American people will realize how much of a fascist Bush is and then they will rise up and elect John Kerry, Savior of the Universe, Who, by the Way, Served in Vietnam, Plus, He Has A Plan, and then the Republicans will crumble and we’ll live in a socialist utopia, etc,”…
So, why do you persist perpetuating the left-wing stereotype that us, the VAST RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY has supposedly set up to steal power?
Of course, I guarantee I’ll be branded with some right-wing stereotype in response.
And here’s the obligatory conspiratorial taunt..
    MUCKADOO!

  6. Just to Clear the air …
I post comments often here and I don’t want to be confused with the rantings of some idiot.
I (the real Sean) have never called a woman a c*** and won’t ever …
I am the good Sean, and I will now comment by the name SeanT until some idiots comments force me to change it again …
    Great job FrankJ&Co.
    Thanks SeanT

  7. SeanT;
You will never be considered the little sean. The sean in question is full of tiny letter, kind of like his manhood.
And if he ever does dareth show his face here, then we will go and rip him a new one and teach him to be a man!

  9. It’s always a poignant situational irony that one of the few lefty bloggers who can sometimes see the conservative point of view as rational, has such a freaking cesspool for his comments section, makes no attempt to moderate it or call them out for it in his posts, and then often has the terminity to claim that conservatives run hate-sites.

  10. Frank,
I took your advice about two months ago, and started reading Drum’s blog.
It’s a typical socialist POS. Here is the drill…
    1. If there is an inconvenient fact, either lie or filibuster it with large, seemingly intelligent rants.
    2. When in doubt, use STFU or some other insult.
    3. Personally attact your detractors to deflect interest from your pinheaded postiions.
I’ve got more, but these three are the most used.
I don’t waste my time and energy reading Drum or his commentors anymore. They are doomed to their own cesspool of politically correct, morally relative, blue state views.

  11. I didn’t see any condemnation for those who don’t have comments sections when Drum had his “calpundit” blogger site……back when he didn’t have comments.
His memory is quite selective, indeed.

  12. That’s why I stopped posting there, Sarah. Strange question, perhaps, but I noticed your email address and my 12-year-old son in preparing for a debate in favor of human cloning – any good resources you can point me in the direction of?

“If you go to Kevin’s site, you’ll see right wing trolls referring to liberals as “dickless”. I’d hardly say conservatives argue with substance.
The C word is not one I would personally chose first to describe Malkin (gutless hack, perhaps), but since she took such offense to one post that used it among hundreds on an open forum, I take great pleasure in using it.
I say the ‘C’ word loudly and proudly, but it’s mostly for her benefit. If Malkin wants to be a big, fire-breathing conservative pundit, then she needs to be able to play with the big boys and grow a thicker skin. Just because she’s a woman doesn’t mean she’s can’t be greeted with the same level of venom she dishes out on a daily basis. She could start by showing the same courage Kevin has by allowing open comments on her site. I’m not holding my breath”
What a jackass. What a hater. What kind of logic is this!?!???!?
