As you can see from the comments section here, my brother has been promoted to Sergeant. He told me this was about to happen when I got a phone call from him but also said it was bad luck to mention it before it was official.
Anyway, congratulations and Godspeed, Foo’.

Wow, I just read that in the comments when the computer I’m on randomly shut down, and now I reopened IMAO and there it is in a post! Ok, may only seem like crazy coincidence to me, but there it is. =) Hi from Italy, btw, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted, but I’ve been reading!
Wow, and I got first, too! So exciting. I guess there’s something to be said for this whole six hours ahead thing (nine from CA =( ).
And congrats to Sgt. Joe!
Semper Fi and tenhut
Congrats to Joe Foo!
Congrats Sgt Joe! G-d bless ya!
Hoo Rah and Semper Fi
Congratulations, Joe. My older brother Mike (Nashman) was promoted to sgt the first of April. He’s fighting with the army by Ramani, and was with them when they stormed fallujah. My youngest brother Matt (Nasty Nash) was promoted to sgt the first week of March. He is also with the Army, and is stationed in Egypt near the Gaza Strip. I hope all of you come home safe, and god bless.
Congrats Joe…i mean Sgt Joe, who’d you’d find to sew the new ptaches on your uniforms? you didn’t wuss out and use the glue did you? Life here is just kicking into spring, the north is bitching cause they had some late snow storms the south is bitching cause their allergies are kicking in. California is still trying to impress everyone that their emmissons policy has made them slightly better than houston so i guess that means you can see 20 feet instead of 18 thru the haze. Snoop Dogg is really getting into his assistant coaching position out in Compton, bought his kids a new bus with a kick ass sound system. How cool would that be? I’m stuck in the middle of the country in Oklahoma. I hope you clear out the terrorists soon cause i can’t wait to exploit their ancient ruins, i’m really glad we didn’t nuke them all to a sea of glass. Come back safe and soon oyur giving your brother a serious case of blue balls and after watching “theres something about Mary” i’m worried about him, what if he starts visiting highway rest stops? alright have fun and don’t forget to drink lots of water!!!
Hooah… er, Ooh-rah! Semper fi, Sergeant of Marines!
Does this mean I can call him “Marine NCO Guy”?
At this rate, soon we’ll have to call him Joe Foo’ the Marine SIR! Rock on!
Congrats Sergeant!
Kick Ass, F’ the Names.
Come home safe.
Good work Sarge!
BigEZ, Sir is the next step. I’ll prob. put a package in when I get back. I’m probably one of the only Sgt.’s in the Marines working on a master’s degree, so I already have the education part done with (come on, I’m FrankJ’s brother, I’m not lacking in the edu. department. 🙂
Thanks for all the well wishes, y’all.
congrats Joe! how long did it take you to get to Sgt? I’m going into the Air Force soon, just wonderin’.
Congrats from you brothers-in-arms, in the US Army. Airborne!
A little late to the party, oh well.
Congrats anyway, Sgt Joe.
