Saw an amazing story at Michelle Malkin’s blog. It has video, so I checked the military blogs for where it came from and got a little bit of an explanation from Mrs. Greyhawk of The Mudville Gazette.
Can someone tell me why stories like this don’t get more media attention? Can you really argue that this would not interest people?

Because it would portray US soldiers in a positive light. Which doesn’t fit into thier spin at the momment.
It’s up to us to get the message out. We have the power, which has been proven over and over again.
Because the left wing moonbat hate America first liberal media would cry on their PorKoran’s.
It could possibly make people believe that not every single thing Repuglijangicanswhatnot is a lie… which is a lie!!1
sqrt(Bush)-Hitler=0!!!!!!!!!!1
(great video BTW)
Surely, you realize that the only reason he rendered medical assistance was so that the brave freedom fighter could be sent to Israel as an organ donor.
What do you mean, I shouldn’t trust everything Al Jazeera tells me?
He only would have made the news had he died of his wounds. It’s disgusting and telling that stories like this never do.
You do know that the msm people were high-fiving while they added that poor soul to their ‘death toll list’ until the bastard got back up again!
Liberals figure there’s an unspoken threshhold (ala Vietnam), upon which hitting, Bush will be forced to bring the troops home. Every body bag is one closer to that unspoken number. But that private, Stephen Tschiderer, had to confound the press by living. One more thing, in the Vietnam/Iraq comparison, lets see how they measure up:
Vietnam: 60,000 dead
Iraq: 1,800 dead
Vietnam: Government alive and kicking in half the country
Iraq: Government scattered, in exile, launching erratic terrorist attacks
Vietnam: Launched and carried out for the most part by Democrats
Iraq: Launched and carried out by a Republican
As you can see, there’s very little difference between the two.
Wow, I don’t think I could have used such restraint.
My hat’s off to this GI.
Because…what Vince said.
I can’t help but think of the doctor from “Creepshow”: “This is going to be extremely painful…”
I’m sorry this has nothing to do with anything but wouldn’t it be awesome if bush appoints Rove to the supreme court…. i think it would be funny to see how the dem’s react…
How would the liberals ever get us to surrender to the UN if they showed that Duty, Honor, Country still meant this much?
Can you really argue that this would not interest people?
Editors aren’t people, they’re lefty caricatures of people.
The difference between us and them is that when our troops get hit in the chest by a bullet, they get up and walk away. That’s how you win a war.
Perversely, I can imagine a future era in warfare where two armored troops are firing at each other in the battlefield, and neither two will go down. Then they’ll have to engage each other in some sort of hand-to-hand combat. Just like knights of old.
The history and technology of warfare vacillates between one-sided victories by technologically superior armys and bloody stalemates between technologically equal parties. The pendulum is swung very far to the first side right now. But it’s only a matter of time before the islamofascists get the same body armor, NVGs and atomic bombs we have.
Check out Michael Yon’s site for more info on this action. Seems the terrorist freaks kept the camera rolling the whole time, even their own capture was recorded! Too bad the powers-that-be didn’t release that part.
Seems that I am the only one who is concerned about what we are seeing in this video…but not seeing either. It is that this PFC was all by himself. No overwatch, no gunner in the vehicle turret. Even he seems blase about his environment. It is a classic case of what happens when you get complacent and lose situational awareness. Damn I hope this PFC gets his butt sat down and learns from this lucky chance at life he got this day.
I actually did see this story on CNN over the weekend.
I was flipping channels and stopped because I recognized the video, which I saw through one of RightWingNews’s daily links on Thursday or Friday.
