I still have a few things to take care of, and I’m still not sure how I’m going to handle archives (I might just leave old posts as they are for now since that’s easier), but here’s what the new site is going to be like. Not only does it seem to load faster, but the center column with the posts actually loads first. Hopefully we’ll be operating from their pretty soon. Once again, lots of thanks to Basil.

I for one, wouldn’t mind the old site being the archive. fwiw.
That’ll do, pig. That’ll do.
Ditto what Bob said. One thing, though, I like how the comments here open in a new tab–any way to make the new site do that, too (if more demand it)?
As long as there is no inconvenience to the trolls. They don’t handle difficulties well, and they often post here after their parents have gone to work.
I checked it, I like it! Good job!
Looks like all the losers are ready for the new blog. And by losers I mean you are going to LOSE the election to Obama. He’s soaring in the polls because because hate that piggy Palin. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha he he he he ha ha ha ha he he he ha he he he he ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha he he he he ha ha ha ha he he he ha he he he he ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha he he he he ha ha ha ha he he he ha he he he he ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha he he he he ha ha ha ha he he he ha he he he he ha ha ha ha ha

🙁
I for one, very much like the new site set up. Very much.
I like the look of the new site. Will there be a dumpster for the trolls?
It’s a compost pile, Corona. We have to supply our own pitchforks, however. But they stab easy.
Question: will the URL change? .
How about a new IMAO slogan contest, Frank? Even if you don’t use any, it could be fun. Ok, I’ll try:
“IMAO: A conservative hot house with a built-in compost heap.”
“IMAO: We make troll hash the old-fashioned way: with gut splitters.”
“IMAO: Where a Conservative tongue in your cheek is better than a Liberal one in your ass!”
IMAO: Trolls and hippies check-in, then they die!
IMAO: Sticking a fork in liberals since 2002.
I dont understand why you dont care about the oceans like some other republicans. i mean they are the OCEANS. why do you want them to become so acidic and for the fish and other ocean dwellers to die? you people dont care about nothing but yourselves. im glad im not like you. im proud that i care and that im green.
[Of course we care about oceans. That’s where Aquaman lives. -Ed.]
those dont sound very nice jimmy no wonder you mean people hate our planet. im proud of being green. i do as much as i can for the planet but you people just want to take more and more without caring and giving back. if any of you have kids and then they grow up i bet they will hate you for what you have done to Earth. taking care of the planet is for everyone not just hippies! recycle! use green technologies to power our future!
think of it taking care of the planet is conservative because you conserve it for later instead of just raping earth now and later having nothing left. no fish. no coral. no trees. NOTHING for YOUR little babies to eat or drink. think of it!!
birds are dying and you dont care. i hate to say it but some of you are f@#$#!! @#$!!
I give all that a C+, benji. Oh, and BTW. I use a lot of “green technologies.” Cords of them. But eventually, they turn gray and lose their greenhouse gasses and I burn them to keep warm and make CO2 (which plants like) and lots of nitrites and nitrates which might cause you cancer.
Do you prefer 4-pointed or 5-pointed forks?
This is disappointing because it’s a missed opportunity to reconstruct and enhance the blog with an improved technology framework. Instead the choice was made to make the “new” blog look exactly as cluttered and dated as it’s been for the past four years.
Sorry for the stupidity of the question. I’m not exactly computer savvy, other than turning them on and getting to either a web browser or Excel.
IMAO has now and always will win the “AHHH! MY EYES!!!” color scheme contest.

Why change what works? Google looks much as it did years ago. Many of the thoughts on this blog are erroneous but one cannot deny the beauty herein.
The new blog looks essentially the same, but it is faster. I left a comment there for you, Frank… read it & tell me what you think.
“Why change what works? Google looks much as it did years ago.”
Good point, but that analogy breaks down rather quickly because Google isn’t cluttered and it “works” much better than IMAO.
This site is cluttered and dated. Try finding the IMAO podcasts sometime and you’ll see what I mean.
