Hey, check it! We got quoted!

We’re members of the community.

Didn’t we come off sounding like reasonable, non-partisan people? I was totally thinking, “Well, some of these retards only watch CNN and MSNBC and get half the story. I watch Fox News, listen to talk radio, and read a ton of blogs, so I am enlightened.”

BTW, I’m still working on the post about that debate, but if you know me, you know I like to tell the whole story, so I’m not quite finished.

  1. “Its good to see a conservative and a liberal debating in a respectful manner,” her husband Frank Fleming added. “You can actually sit down and listen to the other side.”

Best laugh of the day right there.

  2. Yeah, FrankJ I didn’t know you could handle such innanity (it’s a word). I couldn’t actually watch too much of the debate. My head kept exploding everytime Obasamabama spoke, and then my head would explode less when McMaverick spoke. Since I don’t like my head exploding I couldn’t watch it but for short bursts. You and SarahK must have explosion proof heads.

  3. I’ll bet the participants of the Boise debate actually showed up instead of sending cardboard cutouts with tape recorders attached like the candidates at the Presidential debates did.

I still can’t believe these are the best? candidates for the job. I wonder if Scooby Doo and the Mystery gang are busy. Maybe they could unearth the mystery of how these two inanities made it to the top of the pile.

  4. “Colby Stream” is well on his way to employment in the organized media.
    1) Choosing to mention only the hot-button topics that were debated.
    2) Mix-and-match quotes. The “Unity” portion of the debate was separate from the regulation discussion and Jonah’s “choose the lesser of two evils” comment was in response to a Q&A question about choosing a candidate, not the discussion of Healthcare.

I can empathize with the difficulty of reporting this debate. It was quite long and Jonah was a blizzard of quotes and examples. I would have hoped that someone tasked with writing a summary article would have come prepared to take good notes, but apparently not.

Ah well, it *is* only a college newspaper, what excuses do national media reporters have for doing the same things?

  5. Hey Mark,

Glad to read that you saw the same debate I and my family did. I read Colby’s insipid summation and was convinced he wasn’t even there. I was annoyed enough I left a comment at the Arbiter article webpage.
