So it ended up the Lockerbie bomber had terminal cancer. Now, if you have a terrorist expected to die in three month, I see basically five option:
1. Laugh at him like Nelson Muntz.
2. Say you’re giving him chemo, but just give him lots lots of laxatives.
3. Do the merciful thing and strap a bomb to him, launch him in the air with a slingshot, and watch him explode.
4. Let him go back to Libya to be greeted as a hero for his savagery… where he explodes from a bomb hidden inside him.
5. Same as option four but no hidden bomb.
Scotland unfortunately went with option five. I say we declare war on them for extreme stupidity that is an insult to all nations who don’t like murder. If you can’t take terrorists seriously, maybe a war is just what you need to serious you up.
And no more letting you try terrorists. We have giant slingshots and explosives here and are ready to use them.
Shoot — when I saw the headline, I could’ve sworn this was gonna be about Ted Kennedy.
😉
#1 — It is.
germany supports terrorism by letting them go as well, but they at least produce things I don’t buy because of this. What can we do to scotland? quit eating hagus? scotland is like canada, useless to the world, but still stupid and a pain in the arse. We should send a bunch of homocide bombers there as tourists. Or we could give them the guy in the White House, that would fix em.
I like the option of a public execution, but I would have recommended that long before I knew he was terminally ill. And if they really want it to be compassionate, they could use a guillotine.
The humane thing to do would be to release him to the custody of the family members of the victims. I’m sure they would take good care of him.
I kept waiting to hear that the Libyan plane the terrorist was flying home on had blown up in the air! What a great practical joke that would have been. But alas, the Scotts have proven once again that they are a dour, humorless people, by passing up a chance to pull off what would have truly been one of the worlds greatest practical jokes….ever.
I vote for Frnak’s #2, #3, #4, and then #1…in that order.
“It’s raining poo!”
# 6 – infect him with smallpox, then send him home to his adoring fans. This one also helps with global warming, energy consumption, and health care. Why hasn’t anyone tried it before?
I can’t believe they let that scumbag go. Ridiculous. That terminal cancer was Justice. I hope it hurts.
See that’s what happens when you have government health care. In order to save the money on treatment for a terminal patient the government sends him to his home country so THEY can pay for it.
Sheer genius I tell you.
Wiley Coyote Super Genius, that is.
Hey, you forgot option #6 —- Plane back to Libya loaded with explosives, set to go off on tarmac! Truly a happy ending!
While this may seem like the nice thing to do, it seems just so stupid to me. It’s nearly as stupid as Ariel Sharon conceding Jewish settlements to Palestine in the regard that it sends a message saying “despite your incredible brutality towards your fellow man, we’ll go ahead & show you kindness in the end.”
I’d like to ask the Scottish folks behind this if this is something they do for all terminally ill violent offenders, or just the mass-murdering ones. I can almost see this guy returning to Scotland with a bomb as a final F-U to his former captors.
“What to Do with a Terminally Ill Terrorist?”
Easy you kill them. It’s a shame that the Scott’s aren’t that bright.
Its going to be strictly good ole American bourbon & sour mash from now on.
Just say no to scotch whiskey.
I’m hoping William Wallace and Robert Bruce rise from their graves in anger and start chopping heads off with their claymores.
NO. 6 Disguise the bomb as a plane.
I guess we now know what the Scots have under their kilts. Nothing.
I blame England.
You could: a. Place him on Obamacare, or b. Tell him he was misdiagnosed and send him back to prison.
I guess Scotland is taking a stand FOR murder. If I were a terrorist, I know where my next bomb would be going.
Now, my understanding was that the Muslim religion was a “religion of peace,” and that there were only “a few fringe radicals” that were “hijacking” the religion with their hatred and terrorism. So, why then does the entire Muslim population of Libya show up to give a hero’s welcome to the scumbag Muslim terrorist that killed these innocent people instead of condemning him? Gee…I wonder.
Things we can do to Scotland for letting terorizt go: 1) Nuke Loch Ness 2) Resolve to call bagpipes DOUCHE-BAGPIPES until they grow male genitalia under their skirts. 3) Revoke Sean Connery’s Scottish heritage. 4) Have Libtard History Revisionists declare that Golf was invented by the Irish. 5) Redub all the Original Star Trek Episodes so that the chief engineer is called Mr. Nancyboy. 6) Introduce Scottish Terriers to Michael Vick 7) The expression, ‘Great Scott!’ will now be reduced to Substandard Scott
You started to push your luck with the Sean Connery one, #19. There’s still some Scots with male genitalia.
As for bagpipes, there’s an old bit of humor about that. The Irish gave the bagpipes to the Scots as a joke. The Scots haven’t gotten the joke yet. 😉
As I’m sure you all know, Scotland did this to help BP get an oil concession in Libya.
The US – with our new ‘smart’ power – could have easily prevented the release by filing charges against the prisoner in the US. Treaty obligations would have then required the ‘released’ prisoner then to come to a US prison instead.
The US was part of the dealing. What did we get out of it? Jack sh*t.
#10: According to the AP, 23 “compassionate releases” have been approved in Scotland over the last ten years (out of 30 requests).
IMO, the compassion of the Scots was woefully misplaced; it should have undoubtedly been directed at the families of the victims. This is one terrorist who deserved to have his request vehemently and publicly DENIED.
One can only wonder what went on behind the scenes…
What I’d like to do is show him the same respect and concern he showed the people on that plane. These people don’t understand compassion, they see it as weakness. This is why there should NEVER be cooperation or compassion. They just can’t understand it.
#22-
To a point, I could understand this but for the fact that if someone is sent up until they are dead, then releasing them is kinda insane. Maybe it could be justified for people who were sent up for white collar crimes or for people who are scheduled to be released at some point. This islamofascist gets released & arrives home to a heroes welcome…what a slap in the face to all the families of his victims.
I think some others here are old enough to remember a similar instance here in America when former Presidential candidate & total unrepentant loser Michael Dukakis allowed convicted murderer Willie Horton weekend furloughs from prison, while out on which he beat a couple into a bloody mess & raped the wife repeatedly. Horton was not supposed to see the light of a free day ever again, yet this Democrat retard gave him weekend passes. As far as I know, Mr. Dukakis never even bothered to meet with Horton’s victims or simply speak to them on the phone explaining himself.
Maybe someone should send the Scottish parliament some newspaper clippings from the 1988 political season.
This is what brought them down on the USA on 9-11. This kind of idiotic behavior simply emboldens them.
1 = This is weakness. 2 = They are predators. 1+2 = ?
I would have been OK with his release, as long as he would have been released from a blimp flying over the Grand Canyon.
Murdering terrorist+his a$$hole+superglue+stick of dynamite. Blend with one pissed off Badger.
Some assembly required.
Should have let him die in prison and use his corpse for pig food. When he comes out the other end, send THAT back to Libya.
#24 My thought exactly. When someone is sentenced to Life in Prison, it kind of goes without saying that you expect them to DIE IN PRISON! Releasing them because they are going to die is insane.
The Scots a notoriouslt tight fisted. So they figured Lybia would pay for the guy’s flight home and they saved themselves the cost of a funeral.
# 4 I am not a family member of the victims but I would be willing to act as their surogat
Follow the lead of Hannibal Lecter, feed him to himself
The Scots should have provided him every possible modern treatment – no matter how expensive and painful – that would have prolonged his suffering.
