On MSNBC, one of Wisconsin’s Runaway Democrats said that “this is our Pearl Harbor“.
My first thought was that it was actually more like that bunker in Berlin. Heck, I’ll bet there’s already a “Downfall” parody video somewhere on YouTube.
But then I realized he’s right. It is their Pearl Harbor.
Like the Japanese, they stormed in and caused a lot of damage, but in the end, they’re going to lose.
We’re going to war with the unions? Cool! I want to be in the submarine service!
Where exactly is Pear Harbor? Must be a Wisconsin thing. It sounds delightful, I love pears.
Yes, it’s a beautiful place in Wisconsin with a long and proud tradition of typographical errors.
Some of which are fixed now.
And once again they prove they have no concept or understanding of war…
Yeah…. what Joe Schmo said.
As great as it is watching them behave in a manner that makes your most dramatic teenager look mature and centered, I don’t think they’d have the cajones to say that this standoff is their 9-11. If you wouldn’t say it’s your 9-11 it sure as heck isn’t your Pearl Harbor. Of course, I’m sure that MSNBC’s journalists pointed that out.
We are going to war with private sector unions? Where? Who?
If this was “anti-union” then private sector unions would be on the block. Read even far far right websites and you wont find a peep of complaints against private sector unions.
If this Wisconsin is the liberal union Pearl Harbor, then Walker, Wisconsin Governor, is our atomic bomb.
Gee, just like Democrats to compare a political dispute with an attack that cost thousands of lives and caused millions of dollars in damage. I guess the November mid-terms were like Hiroshima to these loons.
8. Proud Infidel says:…
I can still smell the charred remains… or is that bar-b-que from Sunday… mmmmmmmm, bar-b-que
Next, they’ll be describing it as a “tsunami”. Good. I hope they drown in it.
mmmm..bar-b-que….
If they want a WWII analogy, the protesters should be put into cattle cars and trained off to some little town in Saskatchewan where real work will set them free.
Does that mean that the real Pearl Harbor wasn’t theirs? As usual with their type, they are so focused on themselves they never realize that when they say stupid things like this that they are insulting the people that truly suffered in those events. Much like comparing themselves to the people in Egypt. I’ll bet those people don’t have comfy homes to drive back to in their heated/air-conditioned cars after a tough day of protesting. SICK.
Obviously, the way to deal with – um – >sniff< …. mmmmmmmmmmm, bar-b-que
The nerve of those conservatives to conduct government while members of the flee party were vacationing in ObamaCountry™ eating complimentary donuts. Yep, you just been bushwhacked!
The use of Pearl Harbor is restricted to patriotic Americans let me make some suggestion for more fitting analogies
Day of Rage
Waterloo
Free Gov’ment Cheese Day
April Fools Day
“End of the world as we know it” day
Judgement Day or Day of Reckoning
Freaky Friday
Bar-b-que Day. all you can eat cole slaw, potato salad, beans lotsa lotsa beans
Conservatives are like bar-b-que, patriotic, tasty, and great on the 4th of July.
democrat-marxists are like the aftermath of beans. smelly and full of air.
unions are like a bean gas gone wrong. A brown stain on the underwear of America.
Ed, that bar-b-q wouldn’t be Soylent Blue, would it? At least it ain’t people.
“This is our Pearl Harbor”? So like are you the Japanese that got the snot bombed out of them with two big ones or what?
I was going to say that Waterloo would have been a better analogy, but that was back in the day when the French
didn’t retreat from the battlefield before the first shot was fired. But then the French had Napoleon and not a community
organizer as a leader.
If this is going to be war with the unions, may I pilot the union-busting Enola Gay?
ussjimmycarter, I love you.
I’d liken it more to the Battle of Midway — finally the good guys got the enemy momentum stopped. Time to island hop our way back to freedom.
One of my favorite comments this week in response to the person who called it “the progressive 9/11” said, “Wasn’t 9/11 a progressive 9/11, too? Or do they live somewhere else?”
A war against the unions would be awesome. Because, while we’re working and attacking and efficiently getting things done, they’ll mainly be on their numerous mandatory breaks, standing around as appointed supervisors, on their six weeks of vacation or paid leave, striking and protesting…and, that’s if they’re not teachers, in which case they’ll stop fighting and go home at 3:00pm and won’t fight all summer because they’re “off.”
