Would Obama consider that a legitimate argument in favor of Jim Crow laws?
My point being – maybe businesses are complaining about regulations because THEY REALLY ARE THAT FREAKING ONEROUS RIGHT NOW.
Tell ya what – dial back the regs, and when we get to 3% unemployment and record profits, and the business community is still complaining, you can say “I told you so”.
But I won’t care, because we’ll have 3% unemployment and record profits.
It sounds like Obama thinks the business community is getting Uppity.
Harvey, you’re not thinking “Green” here. See, for every ‘green job’ Obama tries to create, four non-green jobs are lost. That’s what he wants: fewer non-green companies complaining about regulations and high taxes.
You need to get you facts straight, Harvey – unemployment is already at 3%. We know this because Obama has been focused, “laser-like”, on unemployment for more than a year. And we all know there’s nothing Obama can’t do in a year. In fact, the Obama administration has projected that unemployment will be at -27% by the end of the year. Try doing a little research next time before you impugn our great president.

Dadgum, it’s nice when Obama makes me reconsider not voting for Romney. Burma’s right; Romney doesn’t despise the profit motive like this ignorant clod.
This is really the ultimate testimony to the warped minds possessed by these people. The very notion of a government that makes itself as unobtrusive as possible so that the people may govern themselves is unimaginably foreign to them. The connection between “the business community” and the citizenry is not there in their poor minds. How does one argue with such people?

Remind me, here…what exactly is the problem with companies making “record profits” again? Don’t companies making “record profits” employ tons of people, pay people lots of money that they then go out and spend at other businesses so that they also make “record profits,” and more people have money, more people have jobs, and more people spend money…all of which generates “record profits” for the government in tax revenue? I would think even someone who reached the age of 47 without ever having a real job would understand how this works.
