An audit conducted by the Energy Department’s Office of the Inspector General was “unable to locate” $500,000 worth of equipment purchased with stimulus money.
Just a thought… have they tried looking in that warehouse next to the Ark of the Covenant?

It’s the federal government, so the question is more accurately, “How the Hell do you not lose $500,000 worth of equipment?”

what are you carping about? $500,000 is only about .00000006% of the total stimulus handout. Bunch of stinking bean counters. Do you think that you guys got here by yourselves? Gubberment had to throw wads of cash around so you could squint at your PC’s instead of doing actual work.
Are there really people out there for whom this is news? To quote some folks much more intelligent than anyone in Washington today, “…Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government…”
