That or to write realistic fiction, one has to spend more time doing research than actually writing. His books are filled with violence, gluttony, and lust, so I wonder what he’s researching.

i stopped reading the books after Stark Sr. was beheaded. Is there any character in the books and or show that has ANY redeeming quality at all. Even one would be good but so far as I can tell they are all swimming in the sewers.
Oh I should have added the books and TV show are eerily representative to todays Washington DC. Spookily so.
Since we don’t have cable, I’ve been following via recaps. I love the books, though. My only problem is Why can’t they leave the wolves alone? Otherwise, Tyrion is cool, the way he saved the other character and dealt with other problems which haven’t been covered yet. There are others but he’s my favorite.
