I am convinced that whenever we exaggerate or demonize, oversimplify or overstate our case, we lose. Whenever we dumb down the political debate, we lose. For it’s precisely the pursuit of ideological purity, the rigid orthodoxy and the sheer predictability of our current political debate, that keeps us from finding new ways to meet the challenges we face as a country.
BARACK OBAMA, The Audacity of Hope
“So… no more political debate. Shut up and do it my way.”
“Whenever we dumb down the political debate, we lose.”
we certainly do. that is how we got our first affirmative action president, barry.
I read that sentence from Obama and I’ve read all of Mein Kampf, same circular logic, narcissism…both radical leftists.
I don’t think Obama understands the meaning of the word “we”. [What is it with liberals and small words?] His whole strategy in the race was to keep things simplistically stupid to attract LIV and play to his base.
Right. So Our Leader, disdaining “ideological purity” and “rigid orthodoxy”, espoused a flaccid, distilled, alloyed and impure philosophy as an aspect of manifesting his “presumptuous, insolent, impudent feeling that what is wanted will happen as the individual desires and anticipates an expectation”. This being the literal definition of audacity and hope. Which as we all know is just a steaming brown heap of bovine excretia in a very cheap crock.
What a quivvering wuss!
