A California state senator is pushing a bill that would require people to purchase a permit to buy ammunition.
I’m sure the state will reap a windfall in fees from all the law-abiding muggers out there.

From those of us in other states who need the jobs these ammunition factories could produce may I just say, “Way to go CA. You and gov. Moonbeam have our eternal gratitude.
So if it’s racist to require an ID to vote because it costs money to get an ID and minorities tend to be poor, then how is it not racist to require an additional fee to buy already expensive ammo for “uninfringed” arms?
And thus, out of state purchases of ammo by California residents sets a new record.
As if people aren’t already hoarding enough ammo. Sheesh!
@prof: I think out of state purchases by Californians are already banned unless they actually travel out of state. You can’t ship ammo to CA.
This guy ranks up with that woman from Colorado who made the “once magazines are used there won’t be anymore” comment. He made a statement to the press about felons buying (legal) ammunition by the truckload and taking it to South Central LA (where it is also legal) to sell on the black market. Clearly a fuzzy (or non-existent) grasp of basic economics.
