[UPDATE: The growing consensus is that this actually WAS satire. My apologies for the error in the title, and Bacon! to the author for being able to sucker me on this one. Well done, sir.]

Well, they could have been asking to repeal the 22nd amendment.
@1 walruskkkch
they will.
At least they’re acknowledging the second amendment instead of ignoring it. Though reading the provisions, it’s clear they have no idea how to properly word an amendment at all. (references to a specific president? Including a lot of absolute figures with no regard about specifics that may change over time? Yeesh.)
On January 4, 2013, Rep. José Serrano once again introduced H.J.Res. 15 proposing an Amendment to repeal the 22nd Amendment, as he has done every two years since 1997
Wow. Way to bring rage into my peaceful Saturday. (I’m lying. Today has been filled with drama. This just tipped me over the edge.)
Now I’m not certain about whether it’s satire or not, the guy’s name is Richard Cabeza, which, my Spanish speaking friends tell me, would make him “Dick Head”. The fact that we can’t clearly tell whether or not it’s satire is, strangely, a mark of the best satire.
@6 – If it’s not satire, then I’ve successfully been trolled, and I congratulate Mr. Head on some very fine satire and say he deserves bacon for the effort.
This Thanksgiving, when talk around the table turns to politics and current events…
I’m fairly certain this only happens at liberal tables, because liberalism is anathema to happiness. (Especially other people’s happiness.) The rest of us enjoy our family and turkey.
μολὼν λαβέ
That makes two of us Harvey. I invoke Poe’s Law – it’s impossible to tell between satire and extremism.
so at last count there are only 26 amendments to the constitution? why is he calling it the 28th amendment? what is required to pass an amendment. i believe that his blatant hate of the south would pretty much cancel any chance of passing it.
my guess it is very very deep satire
Ha!
That is the funniest thing I have seen in a while.
The Myth/Fact cards are beautifully rendered. Just enough graphic interest to catch a few of the ‘low information’ types but not enough information to actually get called out as lying.
The proposed Amendment is so fantastically full of flights of fancy I have to wonder how long it took them to type that between fits of laughter.
This is the absolutely the best Troll Honey Pot I have seen in several years. Thank you! I can’t wait to see the first cross-linked graphic out there, it is going to be so much easier to find the idiots when they self identify by linking to those images!
This is the best laugh all week!

So in other words, it’s ok to stab people, just don’t shoot them….
When I read the comments I fully understood that it had to be satire. any comment thread that includes the words ‘buttault’ and ‘pbutt’ is great!
