@1 Chris – It makes me happy to know that there are a few people in the world who’ve read the book, and don’t know about it only because of that reprehensible Michael Moore movie.
@2 Harvey – Better to remember the book AND the 1966 film by Truffaut. Considering it was made in 1966, and by a frenchy artsy-fartsy director in his non-native language, it’s a surprisingly good flick.
You know, I actually read a really great comic adaptation of that entire story – in the oddest place, at that. It was in a three-part series in Playboy magazine in the late 2000s. A reprint from the original run in the 50s.
Yea, I’m that guy – more interested in the occasional comic philosophy found in Playboy than the boobs. :/
