  1. Seems to fit with the study which found that the less competent you are, the more competent you think you are (comparatively). The explanation was that lack of competence means an inability to assess competence. That study didn’t look at intelligence, it might be interesting to see if there is some kind of tie in. Specifically, if high intelligence leads to more accurate assessments of competence.
