If this is truly a problem, I would think we could come up with a better spokesman than the cross between Mr. Rogers and Capt Kangaroo that is Bill Nye. Wouldn’t an actual scientist be more believable?

This is a meaningless statement. The fact that climate changes over time is not in dispute. What level human activity plays in it is debatable. I would pose that such a wanton display of ignorance must surely be found at some fundamental genetic level, but that would be wrong and get me into trouble.
