As part of the announcement, the U.S. automaker said it had reached an agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL), a Ningde, China-based firm, to manufacture battery cells at the plant using services provided by the Chinese company.

Ford Motor Company projects it will lose a staggering $4.5 billion on electric vehicles (EVs) in 2023, up from its previously predicted loss of $3 billion earlier this year.

Ford, which has recently reduced the price of its electric F-150 Lightning pickup truck, announced Thursday that the company is projected to lose $4.5 billion from EVs this year, according to a report by Fortune.

The company’s EV division, called “Ford Model e,” has already lost about $1.8 billion so far this year. The projected loss of $4.5 billion reportedly stems from slower-than-expected adoption of the new battery-powered vehicles.

Ford’s CEO apparently got complaints from electric vehicle (EV) owners during his recent cross-country road trip.

While on his journey, Jim Farley drove one of the company’s electric pickup trucks, Fox Business reported Friday, noting he called the act of charging the vehicle “pretty challenging.”

“It was a really good reality check of the challenges of what our customers go through and the importance of fast charging and what we’re going to have to do to improve the charging experience,” Farley stated in a video clip posted Sunday.

Adults aged 60 and older who spend more time engaging in sedentary behaviors like sitting while watching TV or driving may be at increased risk of developing dementia, according to a new study.

The study also revealed the way sedentary behavior is accumulated over the course of the day didn’t matter as much as the total time spent sedentary each day.

It seems to me that either the scientists or the reporter do not understand the meaning of the word “accumulated.”

Also, I’ve never heard of the act of driving described as being “sedentary” before.
