I’m home with the lovely and talented SarahK who is currently looking for her marriage license so she can vote (she’s still registered under her maiden name). If she can’t find it, then we’ll see how well our local polls fight voter fraud as we try to sneak her in to vote.
Either way, I’m getting my vote in.
After that, I’m going to settle in here at home with my TV in front of me and my laptop beside me for a night full of blogging fun as the election results rolls in. So keep refreshing; the party won’t be over until we say it is.

You really should move to Missouri so you won’t have to worry about these kinds of insurmountable challenges with finding all these proper documents or bringing the correct id. Not to mention you could probably sign up to vote for a couple of dead people who aren’t able to make it to the polls themselves.
How’s Sarah’s Spanish? She could walk in “no habla Ingles,” and they likely wouldn’t bat an eye.
I don’t know what the fuss is about. When I lived in Chicago, I could vote as many times as I wanted without showing identification. Sometimes, the poll workers would help me; they’d show me how the voting machine worked: “If you wanted to vote the straight regular Democratic ticket, all that you’d have to do is flip this switch here and pull the lever, like this.”
Actually, I don’t remember ever having to show any identification when I voted in person here, which I did until about two years ago.
Chicago’s the place to be.
I didn’t have my voter’s registration card. I just showed by driver’s license. But I can understand the voter judged wanting to see her marriage license. Hope she finds it! If not, hope they let her vote!
