The IMAO 2004 Christmas CD Spectacular

Have you got your Christmas CD yet? They’re shipped the same day you order them, but you don’t have long to order this limited edition IMAO spectacular produced by me and Scott McCollum and get it in time for Christmas. The CD includes:
* All previous audio bits in high quality CD sound. Own a piece of IMAO history so that, years from now when your grandchildren will ask who was John Kerry and why was he a goober, you can show them this. Ham!
* Three new audio bits: Career Day: Buck the Marine, Career Day: Donald Rumsfeld, and Zarqawi Steals Christmas — an over five minute epic audio bit where Bush has to save Christmas from the terrorists.
* The long awaited (but well worth it) Happy Dance in 720×480 mpeg format with cool special effects using my brand new video editing software. This includes an intro giving context to the Happy Dance and surprises I won’t reveal. If you aren’t super happy after watching the Happy Dance, then you are incapable of happiness. (NOTE: To have posted the Happy Dance on my blog at any decent quality would have blown away my bandwidth restrictions, so this seemed the best way to get it to you – and I like money.)
Here is a montage (MONTAGE!) of clips from the new audio bits.
And here is one teaser image to the happy dance. To reveal more would be criminal.

Me, about to explode into happiness.
It’s only $10 (plus $2 shipping and handling), so order now so you’ll have a Merry Christmas, a Chappy Chanukah, or a Kwazy Kwanza.

UPDATE: We’re not quite ready for international orders, unfortunately. If you live out of the states, contact THISISSPAMTHISISSPAMaces like the U.K. before Christmas, though.

  1. I almost feel violated…. tease us with the happy dance, and then “Nooooo”, you won’t give it to us poor, ever vigilant fans, you have to sell it to us?
What’s up with that, Frank J??
    Huh….??
    AIC

  2. The fact is that the majority of files found on P2P networks are illict (copyrighted works that are unauthorized for distribution via the Internet, pornography, etc). Maybe you personally don’t distribute illicit materials via a P2P client, but it’s ridiculous to say that the majority of other P2P network users aren’t looking for screen grabs of Natalie Portman pole dancing in a pirated MPEG of “Closer.”
It is not up to IMAO to post “The Happy Dance” on a P2P network in an attempt to legitimize the network.

  3. Okay, I’m ba-ack. Sorry, put in a 20 hour day yesterday. Ran into some WEIRD trojan/spyware/virii. All M$ related. May Bill Gates die of gonnorhea and rot in hell, here have a cookie? You’ll feel better by the time you finished it.
Okay, so what’s up? What happened to the satirical headlines business? Looks like I missed a ton…
    Oh, and FIRST!!

  4. Scott, you are horribly mistaken to lump BitTorrent with “those” p2p networks. BitTorrent is amazingly well suited for legitimate purposes, such as distributing open source programs, entire operating systems (e.g., Linux) and the like. I’m sorry, but you’re off the deep left end on this one. BT is 100% legit.
Just like a guns. Does the fact that some people misuse guns mean that firearms shouldn’t be used by honest people? Well, if you’re a Democrat, I guess the answer is yes. However, I won’t insult you by calling you a Democrat, since you’ve probably just been indoctrinated by RIAA/MPAA propaganda (i.e., “p2p technology == work of Satan”).

  5. RE: “BT is 100% legit”
Hacked copies of numerous commercial/copyrighted works are routinely stolen via Bit Torrent and similar apps.
Last month the BBC reported around $1 million worth of game software stolen using “file-swapping systems such as Bit Torrent” and for every RazorPop example you give me, I’ll be able to give you an alternate example of BT, KaaZaa, etc. destroying the wealth of artists.
The Bottom Line: If you don’t want to view “The Happy Dance” or listen to any of the new radio bits in CD quality audio, please do not buy The IMAO Christmas 2004 CD. That is your choice and your right as an IMAO Fan. However, the CD production, media, shipping, legal representation (copyright protection and vetting), and marketing all costs money–the contstant posts describing how users will rip the IMAO CD off and duplicate it for free via a P2P network conversation has forced the very serious discussion of the legal rights to Frank J.’s copyrighted works: “The IMAO Christmas 2004 CD”

    • Frank J., the rightful owner of this copyrighted material, has NOT authorized the distribution of “The IMAO Christmas 2004 CD” via any method over the Internet INCLUDING all P2P network servers/applications.
    • Frank J. grants LIMITED FAIR USE distribution rights in that the purchaser of “The IMAO Christmas 2004 CD” may transfer the contents of “The IMAO Christmas 2004 CD” to a SINGLE personal computer and a SINGLE portable media device (MP3 player, etc).
    • All backups of “The IMAO Christmas 2004 CD” must be digital copies residing on a SINGLE computer and/or portable media device. 98%Windows/Mac/Linux-based PC has built-in free software that will convert audio CDs into WMA or MP3 format to be stored on your PC’s hard drive.
    • Purchasers are NOT allowed to make CD copies of “The IMAO Christmas 2004 CD” for “backup purposes” as these are often just pirated copies distributed illicitly.
    • Distribution of “The IMAO Christmas 2004 CD” via any digital, analog, or electronic with the written consent of the copyright holder (Frank J.) is a criminal offense and is subject to fines and/or other penalties in a court of law.

I truly am sorry if this legal talk has offended any IMAO Fans, but so that Frank J. continues to have the incentive to keep producing his unique brand of humor, please remember that Frank is producing these FOR THE FANS! If you do NOT agree with the terms being a legal purchaser in the free market economy, please do not purchase “The IMAO Christmas 2004 CD.”
    Thank you,

  6. Scott, your work is awesome, but seriously, why are you humping yourself to say how evil BitTorrent is? I suggested that Frank (the assumed copyright holder) use BitTorrent to distribute the damned happy dance precisely because he cited bandwidth concerns as a reason for not releasing the happy dance for download.
Seriously, man. Relax. We’re not going to pirate the frickin’ CD.

  7. “the contstant posts describing how users will rip the IMAO CD off and duplicate it for free via a P2P network”
Uh… name one? We suggested that FRANK could use BitTorrent to ease his alleged bandwidth problems with the happy dance.
What are you, some kind of sleeper-agent trained to go beserk at the mention of keywords like “torrent”?

  8. Wow, the IMAO Christmas 2004 CDs are going fast… To those who have already ordered THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Frank is on track to sell all of the limited edition CDs by the end of the week. If you haven’t ordered yet and want a CD for Christmas, you may want to think about ordering before Sunday December 19th.
NOTE: For any IMAO Fans in the United Kingdom that want to purchase a CD, please order before Friday 17 December 2004 to receive your copy by Christmas. Unfortunately, all orders received after 12:00 A.M. GMT on 16 December 2004 will not be filled.
