Carter Did Make a Lasting Contribution to Peace

Originally when I heard that Carter had won the Nobel Peace Prize, I ridiculed the notion. Having reflected on it further, I have to take back my words. If Carter weren’t so inept in office, Ronald Reagan probably would not have been elected, and thus the Cold War would still be ongoing. Carter was the one person most responsible for Reagan getting the presidency, and, for that alone, his legacy should be known as one that led to collapse of the Soviet Union and, eventually, to Communism itself. Thank you, Carter.

  1. I have no respect for the Nobel Peace Prize. They gave it to Yassir Arafat whose only contribution to peace is killing Jews and Mikhail Gorbachev who made the only sane decision he could when confronted by Ronald Reagan.
Reagan WON the Cold War, Gorbachev LOST and they give it to Gorby? Like f***ing Hell!

  2. If you aren’t a cold-blooded murderer (Arafat, young Mandela), communist (Castro was in the running this year), socialist, or tyrant-apologist (Carter, Shimon Peres, Mandela), you cannot, in this modern day, win a Nobel Prize.
