From Sigmund Freud:
“A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity.”
Explains a lot, don’t it? (hat tip to The Conservative UAW Guy)

No offense, but for some reason, I seriously doubt that he ever said that.

Actually, shouldn’t it be “A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional IMmaturity”? Just a thought.

P.S. If you really want some good quotes check out Winstion Churchill, the best and one of the most loveable non-american. He’s the one who said (after being called drunk by a journalist) “And you are ugly, but by tomorrow I will be sober.” Now HE knew how to handle the MSM. What ever happened to politians who could take on the media and win?
Wouldn’t you want your immaturity retarded.
It did seem an odd quote. Here’s one source I found. It seems to be all over the place according to a quick Google search, so I’d believe it until shown it’s a hoax.
It does seem to be ubiquitous on the net.
Here it is referenced by Dr. Steven A. Reid in an essay, When Is A People Killer
Not Deadly?:
“Freud, in his A General Introduction to Psychoanalysis stated, “A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity.”
PS – OMG! FrankJ has linked me!!! Thanks!!! Woo-Hoo!

I’m envious now of your link on IMAO Jimmyb. Tomorrow I will unload both barrels to get a link. I will post something so horribly scarry that FrankJ will have to link to it.
“…unless it’s a fear of knives.” Thanks to Lorena Bobbitt.

Actually, that comment came from the movie The Lost World. Sorry about the mix up. But still, I thing running would be a good idea (hey, that’s a quote from something. Now what was it from…)
Gunlord
Does this also apply to weapons of mass destruction?
