Pat Robertson says God told him that storms and tidal waves will possibly hit America this year (Possibly? So God is no better than your average meteorologist?). Quote the prophet:
“If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms.”
If you heard him right? Little tip here, Pat: When God talks, PAY ATTENTION! Don’t let your mind wander to last rerun of JAG you saw when the Almighty grants you His time. Worse comes to worse, maybe you could at least ask Him to repeat Himself if you didn’t get it the first time.
Wait, God is talking to me now…
Okay.
So right in his dumb monkey face?
Got it. Later, Dude.
Gotta go, people; I’m on a mission from God.

Just heard from god…he said that pat robertson might say something stupid this year…
Don’t forget your sunglasses…
Reminds me of a Family Guy episode. Stewie: Yay and God said to Abraham, “you will kill your son, Issak”, and Abraham said, I can’t hear you, you’ll have to speak into the microphone.” “Oh I’m sorry, Is this better? Check, check, check… Jerry, pull the high end out, I’m still getting some hiss back here.”
Pat: God said America’s sins were responsible for 9-11.
God: Uh no get the wax out of your ear, I said Pat take your meds and stop being such a f-ing moonbat. Sheesh. Time to go talk to FrankJ.
untitled post above was me. yay me.
Oooooo…..kaaaaaaayyyyyy.
So, there will be storms on the East Coast, and conflicts in the Middle East. So, Patty-Patty-Pat-Pat, anything about snow in Canada, volcanic activity in Hawaii, or moonbatty outbursts from Charlie Sheen?
God works at NOAA?
“Surfs up dudes.”
God’s exact words–
As someone who lives in Virginia Beach, right down the road from Pat’s compound and monuments to himself, I can only apologize and promise next time I’ll lead him a little less. He can do the serpentine run pretty well. Kind of funny, we got both PETA and Pat down here, opposite ends of the moonbat spectrum.
The good reverend should go out on a limb and predict John McCain’s chances of becoming president in’08 after getting all grouchy and telling people to stop using the word “amnesty,” and instead use “banana.” So, no bananas for illegal aliens? Is that the message, Senator?
I told you so!
I dunno. I talk to God all the time, and he didn’t tell me to bet my beloved White Sox last year, so maybe he’s not so good at prognosticating.
Isn’t there something in Proverbs that it’s best to just keep your mouth shut and be considered a fool, than to open your mouth and confirm it? That just may be an old adage too.
There I go being a fool…
“First, a%$hole!” Is that better, L?
Better than what?
And you all know that the left is going to look at Pat and say “this is how Christians think” and point their fingers and tsk tsk tsk us. Uh huh, we’re all stark raving mad and hear voices in our heads but don’t quite pay enough attention to get the whole message.
Shimauma,
Actually, that was Abe Licoln that said that. The Bible verse you are thinking of is Ecclesiastes 5:3 (close, it’s the book following Proverbs, and also written by KIng Solomon):
“…a fool’s voice is known by his many words”
The problem with TV Christianity is that these guys have too much time to fill and too many people hanging on every word that they utter and they utter too many words to fill too much time and this is the result! I go to my own church every Sunday and don’t watch or care what these guys say and recommend same to evereyone else!
Jump on the bandwagon, but I remember Pat saying LIVE at the end of August ’01 that the US was going to suffer a major terrorist attack on our soil by the end of September ’01. Not after, but before. Makes one think.
Shimauma,
Proverbs Chapter 17, verse 28:
“Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.” KJV
This entire chapter is concerned with one idea, and that is, sometimes we all need to “Shut Up”. It’s a great chapter and I try to read it often. I wish I put into to practice what it says more often, but hey, I’m only human and therefore a flawed vessel.
Maybe somebody needs to pass this on to Pat. I’m sure he’d appreciate it. Well, he might…..maybe?
It’s gone now, but earlier today Drudge Report had the headline for Pat’s prediction directly over the headline for “Monkeys learn to speak in complete sentences”. Coincidence?
In Deuteronomy, if a prophet claimed to have a word from God, and the prophecy was NOT true, then the prophecy was disregarded and the prophet stoned.
It’s a good thing for Pat that we live in the New Testament era.
Like I said…Pat doesn’t get stoned, anyhow.
