Today, Barack Obama congratulated John McCain on his hard-fought campaign.

Obama congratulates McCain

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Tell me again why this guy is leading in the polls? Is it that we’re living in Bizarro World?

  1. Bizarro World, indeed. My dear departed grandparents would be pretty damn angry to see the brazen “Gimme it all right now!” attitude displayed by the Boomers and some of the Gen Xers. And Obambi’s not-too-subtle gesture is a prime example of his ire that an old dude would mar his coronation in such a way.

OT, but not too much. I spent 2.10/gallon on gas last Saturday. How come this is not news? People, that’s over two bucks less than I spent in July.

  2. #2 PaleoMedic – Your lower gas price is not news like reduced casualties in Iraq is not news. Actually, dropping roughly in half from $4+ per gallon to $2+ kinda takes the steam out of the “Drill Baby, Drill!” that I thought was going to be such a campaign asset for our side. I guess it’s too late in the election cycle to bomb Iran and close the Straits to force oil prices back up to where we could hammer on energy prices.

Moral of the Story: When in doubt, bomb Iran sooner rather than later.

Nope. Didn’t work. Basil is right. Bizarro World.

    du du – du du
du du – du du …

  4. It was just a matter of time – when the planets of Gimme, PublicEd, Media, and Discontent aligned – before The One could be groomed for the Second Coming.

I once grieved for the next generation; now I grieve for my own generation as well. How can it be that so many cannot see through this Obama and his outright socialist manifesto? Are we not witnessing history in motion: the disintegration of liberties that our founders wished to avoid at all costs, that our brave men fought against just six decades ago, that we currently hope to rebuild in Iraq?

My heart weeps for the future of our once-great nation. Little did we know its very people would bring it to its knees, and the Second Revolution would likely be at hand.
