Have YOU…

…checked your ammo stockpile?

…planned your route to unoccupied territory?

…punched a hippy today, while it’s still legal?

Also… for our friends behind enemy lines.

  2. I’ve been wondering (and since this is open thread, it seems appropriate)….there were a couple of people that set up “Republican/Conservative Underground” sites. Which one is “official”? We were so gung ho on the 5th…where does it stand?

    TY

  3. Memorize this little song today and it will help you in your escape:

    God of Nations at thy feet
    In the bonds of love we meet;
    Hear our voices we entreat;
    God defend our free land;

    Guard Pacific’s triple star;
    From the shafts of strife and war;
    Make her praises heard afar
    God defend New Zealand.

  4. NATO rounds? God help us! Our women shall be raped and our homes burned and pillaged…except those of us that shall be shooting the rapers and pillagers because we choose to defend our freedoms! Bring on the Blue Helmeted pussies!

  6. Idaho is still pretty safe if you don’t speak espanol and can’t swim to New Zealand. Besides, if china wanted to admit NZ to their territory they could do so in about 12 minutes.

    No 5 Aaron. Power is subjective. With animals you try to have enough to make a humane kill. I personally wouldn’t want to get shot with a .22, even at a 100 yards!(or BB gun, pellet gun or slingshot)

    No 14. Not sexy but a shotgun is considered substantial at home defense. If you are looking at a handgun I would consider a revolver if it’s your first gun. Simple, safe, no jams. For rifle consider a plain old winchester 30-30. The original assault rifle. The guns sell cheap, ammo is plentiful and cheap (most favored calibre in Mexico), and I have a couple that hold ten rounds. I know that we all like clip capacities of 30 etc. but in the REAL world gunfights usually are over in 2 or 3 shots.

    How many and should you have one of each? I have lot’s by most peoples standards BUT…..If you have to grab and go complete with some ammo you suddenly realize these things are damn heavy. I would be leaving 98% behind ’cause you just can’t carry it all. An option is to organize my own militia and then issue guns for loyal followers..Hmmm.

    Back to another statement and then I’ll shut up. People are moving to Idaho, including nut case Californians and others. I would just as soon no one move here but if their coming the more rednecks the better. It would just make it undesirable for libs . The would go to Colorado instead. So how bout it. Need a real estate mag???

    OK I still haven’t shut up but consider …a pencil or pen can be a weapon! Once Obamanites realize this they may make a rule to limit pencils to soft lead only or limit the length of pencil (not over 3 inches without a permit).

    My last question. What is a conservative? I check various websites and it seems like there are about 24 flavors. I identify myself as a Redneck, hate filled, homophobe, bigoted, uneducated, backwoods, clinging to guns and religion etc. etc. etc. gay bashing right wind nut job. By freely accepting these credentials it totally disarms any criticism from libs. They have no weapons left to cut me to pieces with.

  7. Thanks for the info guys. my AK shoots 7.62x39mm, can it also shoot 54’s? if not then ammo is cheaper than guns. its not so much what you shoot, but where you put the round.

    Long live freedom!

  8. Spud,

    The libtards from California, Michigan and the East Coast have pretty much succeeded in liberalizing Colorado. Beware. Idaho is next, as are Wyoming, Montana, and Utah. These untrained housecats crap all over their house by voting for liberal politicians and voting yes on numerous tiny tax increases, and one day wake up to realize that the liberal cat crap smell is embedded in the walls of their putrid house. So they pack up their Priuses and drive to a new hose that doesn’t smell so crappy, and repeat what they did before.

  9. All of you talking about buying 7.62 x 39mm ammo, don’t buy 3rd world or old Soviet Bloc surplus ammo. The powder is really hard on your rifling. Buy name brand; Remington, Winchester, etc., if you don’t want to screw your weapon up.

  10. Ammo prices are thrugh the roof. 30-30 ammo is up to $16 a box. Forget reloading, primers and bullets are unobtainable, unless you camp out. 416 ammo up to almost $5 a round in some areas. 308, maybe some really nasty foriegn military surplus available.

    NunyaB, for you first gun, I recommend 1 of each. I started that way, figured out which ones made the biggest hole, and which one fit in my belt the best. Those are the 2 I carry.

  11. Cabelas actually has a fairly decent deal on 7.62×39 as well as NATO 5.56 or .223.

    And yes, it appears that CO has been Californicated into an unhealthy shade of blue. But much of it is still very rural with guns and values galore. Can we take it back???

    YES WE CAN!!!

  12. Stopped in at a Bass Pro to check out camping gear, and wandered over to shotguns. Dude behind the counter said that while the rest of the store sales languished, the demand for guns was up 70 percent in the past couple of months.

    They might not all be checking out imao, but we are most assuredly not alone.

  13. We have ammo, but are buying more while we still can. BTW folks, WalMart has GREAT prices on ammo, you can get bulk packs for cheaper than any sporting goods store.

    Since this is an open thread…..

    Saxby…..if you can, please donate http://www.saxby.org/ lets keep the dems from getting a super majority! The dems have raised millions to defeat him, and he is in desperate need of donations to get ads out there during the Thanksgiving Holiday.

    Buying guns and / or ammo in itself is not particularly noteworthy right now. It is deer season after all, and there’s other hunting seasons underway or about to be underway. On a second point, I would never admit to buying either in a public forum, even if using a nic. You never know who’s paying attention or what resources they have at hand. I know that sounds paranoid, but as they say, “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you.”

  15. Thanks #24, I like your idea about getting “the one that makes the biggest hole” (LOL). But for practicality’s sake I like #19’s idea about just having ONE quality BGFF (Best Gun Friend Forever) that I can study and love and enjoy (paper) target practice with (often), then leave in the closet until time for grab-n-go. Also ammo that is relatively inexpensive and plentiful; Walmart would probably be my source, plus shopping there pisses off liberals.

    Someone in the know come to Vegas and take me gun-shopping/firing so’s I know what to get.

  16. Just asking…
    just how long do any of you think that you can hold off the swarming hordes by shooting small (by comparison) caliber weaponry from the windows and doors of your houses?
    Do you plan to stay awake 24/7 to defend yourselves?
    Maybe this won’t be a problem: you will be kept awake by the blaring rap of some hugely talented star such as Snoop Dogg or another of his ilk being blasted from stadium speakers pushed out of a fast moving armored truck onto your front lawn…?
    Speaking of front lawns, what to do if grenades are launched into your homes from an Obamatized military force comprised of illiterate and sullen crackheads? Is there ever enough time to put down your weapon and toss the grenade back? (I hate it when that happens…)
    Or are all these posts just good fun?…

  17. Y’all are a bunch of small caliber pussies.
    I have another 1,000 rounds of .50 BMG coming to my place.

    You’re not stopping body armoured ghestoppo with 7.62×39. You’re sure as heck not stopping armoured UN APCs from confiscating your supplies with peashooters and NATO rounds.

  18. Personaly I stick with this thought on ammo… if I cant take it with me.. its not much good unless cached along the primary and secondary exfil routes. If Im in a firefight… I will be scavenging everything I can get my hands on. The bunker mentality (cept in the way of food and water) doesnt cut it. Forget it unless you have community support.

  19. I informed my wife that her mother needs us too much and we HAVE to leave The Sheeple’s Democratic Socialist Republic of Massachusetts and move to West Virginia so she can better care for her Mom!
    The wife is currently in WV looking at homes and I have met with the Real Esatae people here to put the house on the market.
    I will NOT be trapped behind enemy lines!
    Defeat Obamunism!
    Ressist!

  20. i don’t know about your local wal-mart, but mine says they won’t be selling ammo after new years.

    there’s a movie you might want to watch, from netflix or the library: ‘the professional.’ be strong matilda.

  21. Check out cheaper than dirt.com for ammo. I agree with the 30-30 for a rifle (reasonable rate of fire, good accuracy, and satisfactory stopping power), for a shotgun I recommend a 12 guage remington 870 supermag express (inexpensive, reliable, tons of different barrels and loads, super customizable, the sort of thing you should get free with the purchase of 20 or more gallons of gas), and for a pistol nothing is better than the M1911A1 .45 ACP (.45 brings the pain like nothing else, tons of manufacturers and aftermarket parts for mil spec pistol). This is mostly what I’ll be packing when the hippie apocalypse begins.

  22. 1. Yes.
    2. Latest Intel indicates we may hold the better part of OreGUN inspite of hippy infestation, nevertheless I’m awaiting additional data from Alaska, Texas, Oklahoma & Idaho in case a tactical withdrawl becomes necessary.
    3. Though I live in a target rich environment (and ironically most of them are environmentalists) I have declined to give the local socialists a chance to take my guns before the shooting starts.

    As for purchasing a new firearm or stockpiling weapons, what do I need to do that for? I’m sure there will be plenty of rifles and 5.56 ammo laying around after the first successful guerrilla action. Why not let Uncle Sam pay for it? After all Uncle Sam bought them with my money.

    Has anyone found a way to down an Apache Attack Helicopter?

  24. Browncoatone, SGM Basil Plumley couldn’t have said it better about the, ahem, “availability” of 5.56 ammo.

    Me, I was always better with the long range business. Give me .308 or give me death.

  25. WHo really posted this? Was it SPACEMONKEY??? I’ll bet that this is just another sockpuppet for FrnkJ. Just like they all are. And FrnkJ is really, really THE GOVERNMENT! Just toying with us stupid humans while the machines take over.

    Berry is a redhead. The table waxes long and luxiourious.

  26. Unfortunately they are going to need all the help they can get to overcome the second Jimma’ Carter Administration. I still believe in the Constitution so I guess I’ll stay. Besides I’m not a weinnie like Baldwin and B.S. I won’t claim I’m going to move and then don’t.

    Unlike liberals I know that words have meaning and integrity is doing what you say you’re going to do. I realize they don’t understand that, after all integrity has 9 whole letters and that’s so (whine) hard to read. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.

  27. Yeah, but seanmahair, you’re already in Kansas which is some kind of “bastion state” already. Is there room in places like Kansas for all the conservative refugees? Just think of the rest of us in all the Soviet states. Like, take the Soviet State of Washington, for example. No, I mean, go ahead and take it. It’s yours. (Personally, I plan on living at sea.)

  28. I’d rather be in Soviet Washington than Kansas when they unleash the Apaches cuz at least in Seattle-stan there are trees to hide behind. What’s Kansas got? Cornfields? No thanks.

    Washington may very well be in enemy hands but I reckon that after Eastern Oregon gets done cleaning up Portlandia we’ll just push north and help out Eastern Washington with their Emerald problem.

    Whether we drive south and liberate Mt. Shasta is a question best left until we see the numbers.

  29. Clinton proved he could get the FBI and BATF to fill the roll of the SS when he wanted them to (Waco, Ruby Ridge) but if it comes to ordering air-strikes on American civilian targets I think they might find a sudden, coincidental string of inexplicable equipment malfunctions grounding their strike aircraft.
    (ahem) Gremlins, don’t you know.

  30. Good point (If I understand correctly) It takes a small army of under paid HS educated individuals to keep the hot shot pilot in the air. Of course I doubt anything would get so outta whack that they’d need to resort to feigned incompetency to protect their friends and family. Of course the hot shot also has friends and family.

    I think the Russians get around this by occupying with people with no ties to the area…less chance to question an order and believe propaganda. I don’t think that would even work with our military. Everyone is so wired these days.

    This has been runnin’ through my head since the election.

    I have a Mossberg and a .357 S/W.

  32. I really need to get my driver’s license changed to reflect the change in cities so I can get some more protective devices.

    I’ve got a whole closet full of boxes of ammo … for my poor, lonely little S&W model 640 .357 – dear gods, I love that gun – comfiest grip I’ve ever felt on a revolver. It’s a bit large for typical conceal, but it’s wonderful in a purse. Just keep one hand inside, and be prepared to get another purse.

    But back to my poor revolver. It really is lonely, and it wants friends. Preferably big friends. I definitely want a .223 (probably going to go with AR, but if anyone thinks otherwise, please give me reasons), and I want a 12g shotgun. I also want a russian SKS with a bayonet. Bayonets are just totally cool. I might consider another handgun … maybe, too. Just to be on the safe side.

    Any further suggestions for personal defense that a girl smaller than most racehorse jockeys could handle? I was thinking of mounting cannons on the porches, but I realized I couldn’t do anything with the cannonballs other than watch them sit.

  33. Mini-14 as stated before. cheaper, more durable, plus that real furniture feel (get the all wood stock.) As for the personal carry I love my 1911, just fell in love with my Ruger P-345, Kel-Tec P-3AT .380 not so much love, but it does what it’s made to do (up close and personal)
