[High Praise! to The Hope for America]
Full disclosure: I’m sloppy with gun terminology. I use “pistol” & “gun” interchangeably. Ditto “clip” & “magazine”. I’ve been corrected by people who know better than me on several occasions, and I still screw it up, usually out of sheer laziness.
That said, Cenk Uygur makes me look like Teddy Jacobson:

As for who Cenk is, this should tell you just about everything you need to know:
Uygur appeared on MSNBC as a political commentator in 2010, later hosting a weeknight commentary show on the channel for nearly six months—until the time slot was given to Al Sharpton. Shortly after leaving MSNBC, Uygur secured a show on Current TV that began airing on December 5, 2011.
That’s right… he’s the guy that MSNBC thought was a bigger idiot than Al Sharpton.
Nuff said.

high bullet magazine are one of the biggest things that make guns do things to people.
true story
“That thing” is very scary. Extremely.
Cenk, here’s a ball of string. Go play with it.
You have to give him credit for not calling it a “clip,” though.
this guy is over qualified for the new Czar of Gun Control position.
Wow, a completely uninteresting person who knows almost nothing about almost everything. I can see whey both MSNBC and CurrentTV were excited to get him onboard.
“and fire them all at once”? I have never fired an actual gun (I have fired BB guns), but I know that you can’t fire multiple bullets at once unless you have more than one barrel, right? Am I right about that?
It looks as if I know more about guns than Cenk Uygur, which probably does make him the least qualified person in the world to discuss guns.
Unlike Cenk, I know that I don’t know anything substantial about guns. The fact that I know that sort of thing makes me the least qualified person
in the world to appear on MSNBC.
he’s the guy that MSNBC thought was a bigger idiot than Al Sharpton.
Actually, MSNBC’s choice of people to put on the air leads me to believe that MSNBC thought that Cenk wasn’t a big enough idiot. This clip should reassure them.
The views held by this “Cenk Uygur” would seem to strongly support a suggestion that IMAO shift from its current No-Irish policy to one of No-Magyars.
At least the Irish have a proven history of knowing their way around sidearms and long guns.
The most common AR-15 mode is semi-automatic — i.e., not firing the bullets “all at once.” This mongoloid would know that if he spoke to anyone within 100 miles of the military. “Safe to semi” is tantamount to breathing for anyone who’s served.
I’m sure the video was brilliantly stupid and I would have enjoyed mocking Mr. Uygur. However, I cannot stomach more than a few seconds of TYT.
Iowa Jim,
You’re right. Even a fully automatic weapon couldn’t fire them “all at once”. Bullets must be fired one after the other.
Dovetailing with what Alucard said…when one is in the military and given marksmanship training, the emphasis, once the trainee is thoroughly familiar with their weapon and comfortable placing single rounds on targets, is on controlled bursts of two or three rounds, not the “spray and pray” technique so comedically portrayed by action-heroes and villains alike in the movies.
I think the “jumping through the air with two pistols blazing” technique is part of special forces training.
Thank you, John. Among other things, I’m relieved that I’ll never be employed by MSNBC, since I know more about firearms than Cenk Uygur and I also know what I don’t know.
Alucard, do the special forces warriors have to yell, “Arrrrgh” while they are jumping through the air with two pistols blazing?
“jumping through the air with two pistols blazing” technique is part of special forces training.
Naaah, they even teach that to Coasties after they learn how to make a bowline knot.
It’s the shooting of an MP5 while working the risers of your ‘chute during a HAHO jump that’s limited to the SpecWarrior training.
Just ask “Hollywood” Harry Humphries.
Do they allow Coasties to have guns? 🙂 Sorry, couldn’t resist.
Ogrrre, didn’t you ever watch Full Metal Jacket? That’s called a war cry…with guns. Works better when you’re a Hollywood star, methinks.
