John Hawkins has pictures from CPAC, and included in there is the fact that IMAO won best humor blog at the 11th Annual Blogger Awards there were presented at CPAC. And there is like a plaque with the award and everything. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go to CPAC and receive the award because that costs money. There’s the plane ticket and the time off work and the entry fee and… well, I don’t make a a ton of money from this blog (some of that due to Harvey’s embezzling). I hope one day the people at CPAC will be like, “Frank! We need you CPAC to stay relevant! Here’s thousands of dollars!” but that hasn’t happened yet.
Anyway, it’s awesome we received this award and are now officially the funniest conservative blog out there (which isn’t that great since it’s well known conservatives aren’t that funny). Anyway, I’d like to thank me for this award for my dedication of blogging every weekday even though I feel like I haven’t actually been funny since 2004. Oh, and Harvey, who does most of the actual work and helps hide the fact of how little I actually post. Plus, he interact with the readers of this blog which I hate doing because I look down on you all. And I thank Basil, who often posts here and also helps keep IMAO up and running. And I might also thank spacemonkey. Nah, I think I won’t thank him.
So, it’s been more than 10 years, but finally — finally — we have evidence IMAO is funny. Thank you for your support.
