Works like this: I feed you Moon Nukers a straight line, and you hit me with a punch line in the comments.
It’s June 6th. How should you commemorate the anniversary of D-Day?
By the way, MY answer is “cruelly mock dictators“.
Also, you don’t actually have to be funny on this one. Serious thoughts of remembrance and honors to the participants are very welcome.

GDFT! We are supposed to make fun of this?
It’s June 6th. How should you commemorate the anniversary of D-Day?
By thanking my Dad for his service during WWII.
It’s June 6th. How should you commemorate the anniversary of D-Day?
By giving France back to the Germans, wait a minute…
By remembering my father, who was one of those who stormed Omaha Beach, and was later wounded in action.
By reminding Biden that “D-Day” doesn’t refer to the report cards he had to bring home from high school.

Second, try the “if you’re [name of liberal]” angle if you want to shoot for the funny.
“If you’re Steven Spielberg, by re-doing “Saving Private Ryan” to have men storming the beaches with walkie talkies”
http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/the-projector/steven-spielberg-finally-admits-walkie-talkies-were-mistake-142746809.html
By wondering who’s going to come liberate us in another decade or so, at the rate we’re slipping.
Just D-Day? What about Otter and Hoover and Senator Blutarsky?!?
It’s June 6th. How should you commemorate the anniversary of D-Day?
Thank a Veteran…. and remind Janet Napolitano that they are not terrorists, just patriots.
Might take care the M1 out to the range after work.
@6 Have my previous posting been so bereft of humor that I need prodding? Not that a good prodding isn’t fun, errr not that there is anything wrong with that.
~~~ to frogmouth!
It’s June 6th. How should you commemorate the anniversary of D-Day?
…Remind Obama that “Community Organizing” does not qualify him for veteran status.
…by reminding the French we got yer damn country back for you, now STFU!
…by remembering that “Storming the beaches” in the Summer used to have much more deadly consequences.
…by remembering the reason we can “afford” such idiots in the White House today is because brave men laid down their lives to create a world where such stupidity isn’t punished by death.
my step father got the bronze star and a purple heart at the Battle of the Bulge. i found this out at his funeral. i wish i could say “thanks, Bob”
By shooting a hippie at the moon from my dinosaur-mounted cannon. (Can’t afford the laser yet. Cloning is expensive).
I tweeted excerpts from Reagan’s Pointe du Hoc speech. Not sure anyone noticed but reminded me of how Reagan personified and exemplified the best of American values.
Basketball at the fund raiser.
…by also remembering A-day, B-Day, and C-Day
@frogmouth #8 – That’s a keeper!
By lighting a candle in my parish church and offering up prayers of gratitude and for the gentle repose of their noble souls…inclusive of the Bunkerhilldaddo who was AUS/USAAF (AVG), and by 6th June ’44 was detailed OSS. Like the majority of those BTDT types, while he lived, never told tale one of what he’d done.
By going up to every lame liberal protester and telling them “You’re welcome!”
…Hillary will commemorate it however she wants. I mean, what difference does it make?
Its D-Day again?
D for DISASTER!
I remember D-Day by remembering that Austrian Economics in the 1930s paved the way for Hitlers rise to power. Libertarian economics took a ruined Germany and made it much worse thereby opening the door to the National Socialists.
Doing a reenactment of the landing on Omaha beach led by Joe Biden and his shotgun…
Admitting that storming Omaha Beach was a picnic compared to what us racist white crackers put Obama through on a daily basis and besides that beach looked awfully segregated in Saving Private Ryan.
Giving the Democrats credit for making Hitler look like a piker when it comes to killing Americans.
With Patton’s “All glory is fleeting.”
Europe is dying.
@jw #14
Same here. My step father got the purple heart at the Battle of the Bulge. He passed on in 1995. I wish i could say “Thanks, Dad” and give him a salute.
…Andrew Cuomo: Convincing gun owners they didn’t need more than 7 bullets to kill Nazis.
By playing the William Tell Overture on your neck. (Like some of you, I remember the fallen every day; don’t need a special day for it.)
By launching another invasion of France.
By thanking my grampa and any of you who were in WWII in any capacity or lived through it – be it with victory gardens, rationing, or whatever the whole country did its part. Hard to believe that the country that bred men with balls enough to invade a beach like that is the same one we have now.
And also, I second Apostic’s point.
………with even more scandals about a government run amuck whose leaders think that average Americans ARE the problem. Apparently we even more than radical islamist and illegal criminal aliens need to be watched closely and threatened with audits. I wish this government would decide who’s side their on so the rest of us could make plans.
By Remembering my Uncle who survived the bulge and my uncle who wasn’t so lucky on the Indianapolis
And high praise to: walruskkkch
by remembering the reason we can “afford” such idiots in the White House today is because brave men laid down their lives to create a world where such stupidity isn’t punished by death.
In any way that is the opposite of the way the White House and Google did, which was to completely ignore it.
