[High Praise! to Capitalist_B]
Although this theologian *did* famously use the phrase YGDFT!YLTATSOTE!, he did not do so with the meaning that we recognize today. Capitalist_B explains:
New Scholarship shows that the acronym under Luther’s portrait was not actually a screed against early 21st century political movements, but was his attempt to distance his doctrine of “Sola Fide” from the notion of “cheap grace,” by which Faith in God does not produce good works. Translated from the German, it actually reads:
You God-Denying Faithless Theologians! Your Leanings Towards Antinomianism Tolerate Satan Overthrowing The Earth!

JW: Ah, but I assume that even if they didn’t go over Theology of the Cross in children’s Sunday School, they did go over ‘cheap grace’ …

The true reference link though goes back a few threads to some of the funky kool-aid Carpenter dispenses.
Were he to live today, Luther might throw pixels at the devil …
@3 you can assume it, but you’d be wrong.
@5: I was going to ask about your “Winking Luther” handbook, but then I realized — that’s probably *JUST* ELCA; you could be from a different Synod.
@6 missouri synod.
I think Luther may have been saying ‘Libertines’….NOT, Libertarians
