Then Reagan won a massive 49 state Landslide in 1984 and the Libertarians went NUTS! They lied about Ronald Reagan for decades! They have never been silenced.
Then Papa Bush won 40 states in 1988 and that pushed the Libertarians off the cliff into KOOKYVILLE. I mean they were always crazy but now they were even more vocal. Totally flippin Nutso Kookoo. I wished they would have been silent but that is not the case.
And if all that wasn’t enough GW Bush drove them even farther down the road to insanity. According to Ron Paul and the Liberal-tarians Bush was Hitler and yet they still were not silenced.

When I joined the Navy, I swore an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I was released from service to the government in 1991, but I have never released myself from that oath.
