I would watch it in that weird time on Saturday Mornings after the cartoons stopped and sports began. That 11am to 12PM time frame. It was usually paired with Shazam! I also remember when you only got to watch cartoons on Saturday Mornings. Couldn’t get me out of bead monday thru friday with a stick of dynamite but 7am saturday morning rolled around and I was up and rolling. I also remember when just before the new cartoon seasons the networks would do a prime time special to show the new shows to get you to watch and they advertised in comic books. Those were the dark ages my friends.
My fuzzy memory tried to convince me that it was a spinoff of Wonder Woman. Now that AwesometificAmerican mentions it, it did have something to do with Shazam. Which, in turn completely messed up the word “Mentor” in my vocabulary. I thought it was the guy’s name.

And in that weird time slot between cartoons and sports there was some urban set live action after school-type drama; Blood, Sweat, and Tears did the theme. Anybody remember what the name of it was?
#10, the movie you might be thinking of is “It came from beneath the sea”, which featured an Octopus attacking San Francisco.
A bit of humorous family lore about that movie. My parents were discussing movies with friends when this one came up by name. So my mom asked “Is that the one where the octopus throws its testicals onto the Golden Gate bridge?” dad says “I think you mean tenticals”, mom follows with “Oh yeah, I always get those two mixed up.”
