The title reminds me of that Tom Ligon (apologies if I misspelled that) story in Analog about amateur rocket makers wherein he pointed out that the work amateur is rooted in the (Latin?) word for love. The point being that the kids were just loving that they were doing so it was no trouble at all (and I should work in a James Doohan reference).
