As an Alaska resident I can tell you that a lot of non-native people up here were glad to see the name change me included. However it does show how calculating Obama is (as in I’m not running for president again) when he does something to satisfy a Republican voting state (Alaska) with 3 electoral votes at the expense of a swing state (Ohio) with 20 electoral votes.
