The real pity is that the federal judge doesn’t have the guts to put someone in jail for disobeying the orders of a federal court.

When was the last time you heard of a federal judge ‘requesting’ anything from a defendant? They usually feel like gods in their own courtroom, and don’t muck about. Certainly not in a way that can be parsed, or subject to Clintonian interpretations. Either something is required by a judge, or it isn’t. (“Well, that depends on what the definition of . . . ” No, it doesn’t.)
It would be fitting therefore if the Democrats delivered only 7 percent out of nearly 70 percent of the votes that Hillary requested.
