Remember Black Sabbath? Yeah, I never really got Black Sabbath.
I know there was a Boris Karloff movie called “Black Sabbath.” Actually, it was called “I tre volti della paura” which does not translate to “Black Sabbath” but it was released in the U.S. as “Black Sabbath.” But I do not think the band, the album, or the song have anything to do with that movie.
Of course, if something about this song could be tied back to a movie in some way. But how? Maybe we’ll come up with something tomorrow.
Anyway, do you have something you’d like to share? A link? A joke? Some words of wisdom? A topic to discuss? It’s Thursday Night Open Thread.
What’s on your mind?
Tonight’s history lesson……………….
Fascinating. (The amazing feats of the Soviet female snipers of WWII — Ludmilla et al. — should be the subject of another clip.)
It’s so inevitable that there will be a movie — probably titled “The Night Witches” — created. I would bet cash on it. Let’s just hope the SJWs don’t warp the story and revise the history, but they will. Perhaps it would be best if the movie were made in Russia, since they would portray the context and the culture of the time better.
You are correct Oppo…if we made the movie there would have to be a certain amount of Russian snipers that are Black, Hispanic, and Asian.
Well there were Asians in the Russian Army, all those “stan” places Russia used to govern contributed many to the war effort but the Black and Hispanic ones may be a bit tougher. Although I would think the disabled Transgen sniper role may actually be a bridge too far.
They’d be in the AbFabWehr.

And I won’t warp the story. It’s amazing enough that there is no need. Not even an unnecessary love story.
Enemy at the gates is a fair telling of the story of the Russian Snipers at Stalingrad.
Oh, and its got Rachel Weisz in it so that’s at least 4 stars right there.
Good luck! It appears to me your screenplay is winning all kinds of awards. Let’s hope a studio doesn’t mangle — or should I say, mingle — it.

Aproppo of Nothing:
Even kids sensed that there was something wrong with Darren Stevens’ moral code.
If witches existed, and if the majority of them showed absolutely no hesitation to use their powers to cause mischief, and if you had access to one who was willing to use her powers only for good, why would you choose unilateral dis(ch)armament?
Better question, why wouldn’t you be boinking Jeannie from day 1?
Would you want to cross J. R. Ewing?
She’s not a witch she’s a Djinn.
And she did not turn me into a newt.
And and yes I would go along with the constant boinking thing. Most definitely.
When I was 4 or 5, we had 5 records in the house that I remember.
The Beatles – “Help!” (US Version)
Jackson 5 – “The Third Album”
Paul Simon – “There Goes Rhymin’ Simon”
Chuck Berry – “The London Chuck Berry Sessions”
Black Sabbath – “Paranoid”
The Black Sabbath album was scary to me but I liked it. The other Sabbath albums are okay, but Paranoid rocks (I guess for nostalgic reasons)
Funny side note: The reason it was scary to me was the sirens at the beginning of War Pigs. The tornado warning systems in St Louis were sirens (which I thought was the sound the tornadoes made). So I associated the beginning of War Pigs with a coming tornado.
