What’s Walrus Building?

I know you are all dying to know. I showed you the box previously but here is the work progress on the Ferdinand.

The next build going on is the Elephant.

As this progresses I won’t be showing too much as the chassis and base are exactly the same as the Ferdinand with only a slight color variation. Then, because of an ordering mix up, the next will be skipped as they are a second copy of both of these vehicles. I have nothing else lined up at the moment and hoepfully may be suspending work if the house situation dictates.

USS Enterprise CV-6

USS Enterprise (CV-6) was a Yorktown-class carrier built for the United States Navy during the 1930s. She was the seventh U.S. Navy vessel of that name. Colloquially called “The Big E“, she was the sixth aircraft carrier of the United States Navy. Launched in 1936, she was the only Yorktown-class and one of only three American carriers commissioned before World War II to survive the war (the others being Saratoga and Ranger). She participated in more major actions of the war against Japan than any other United States ship. These actions included the attack on Pearl Harbor — 18 Douglas SBD Dauntless dive bombers of her air group arrived over the harbor during the attack; seven were shot down with eight airmen killed and two wounded, making her the only American aircraft carrier with men at Pearl Harbor during the attack and the first to sustain casualties during the Pacific War — the Battle of Midway, the Battle of the Eastern Solomons, the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands, various other air-sea engagements during the Guadalcanal Campaign, the Battle of the Philippine Sea, and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Enterprise earned 20 battle stars, the most for any U.S. warship in World War II, and was the most decorated U.S. ship of World War II. She was also the first American ship to sink a full-sized enemy warship after the Pacific War had been declared when her aircraft sank the Japanese submarine I-70 on 10 December 1941. On three occasions during the war, the Japanese announced that she had been sunk in battle, inspiring her nickname “The Grey Ghost”. By the end of the war, her planes and guns had downed 911 enemy planes, sunk 71 ships, and damaged or destroyed 192 more.

Despite efforts made by the public after the war to turn Enterprise into a museum ship, Enterprise was ultimately scrapped from 1958 to 1960.

Yale University Employs Nearly One Administrator per Undergrad

The Fix found 94 named DEI officials across 10 of Yale’s 19 schools. Numbers varied widely, with only one DEI official reported at the School of Architecture but 45 DEI officials at the School of Medicine’s Diversity Advisory Council.

Yale employs one DEI official in its public health school, three in its music school, three in its environment school, four in its nursing school, four in its divinity school, and 11 in its drama school. Yale also employed five university-wide DEI officials and 17 at its undergraduate school.

The Diversity Advisory Council has five vice chairs for DEI as well as a director of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion; an associate dean for gender equity and deputy chair for DEI; an associate dean for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging; a faculty director of workforce development and diversity; three directors of DEI; a vice chief for DEI; a chief diversity officer; and a departmental director for DEI.

Congressional leaders said this week that they plan to lower annual funding for the FBI in the newest spending bill, which the House and Senate are expected to vote on before Friday in order to avoid a partial government shutdown.

The FBI’s 6% funding decrease came out to $654 million and results in its budget coming in at $10.7 billion, the Washington Examiner reported.

Republicans said that the bill “utilizes the power of the purse to address the weaponization of the growing bureaucracy within the FBI.”

The appropriations bill, known as “minibus” legislation, consists of six of 12 appropriations bills, and would fund the Justice Department, the FBI, and several other agencies through Sept. 30.

It takes $10.7 billion per year to run that Democrat party headquarters?

Multiple States Prepare for Vaccines To Be Added to Food Supply: Doctor Warns About ‘Genetically Adulterated’ Food with No Long-Term Safety Data

Legislators in Tennessee and Arizona appear to be preparing their states for the addition of vaccines to their food supply.

Though they come from different states, the two bills were introduced only weeks apart.

Neither of the bills prohibit vaccines from being added to food.

Rather, they accept the addition as inevitable.

A new Tennessee bill would make it a Class C misdemeanor to sell or distribute food containing vaccines without clearly labeling them as such.

The bill was filed for introduction on January 5, 2023.

The bill defines “vaccine or vaccine material” as a “substance intended for use in humans to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against disease, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease, that is authorized or approved by the United States food and drug administration.”

The legislation’s sponsor, Republican Representative Scott Cepicky, doesn’t want to stop vaccines from being added to his state’s food supply.

He just wants to let consumers know whether pharmaceuticals have been added to their next meal.

“If you go to buy tomatoes, and there’s a polio vaccine in there, that you’re aware of what you’re buying as a polio vaccine,” said Rep. Cepicky.

“The problem we have is if it’s not treated as a pharmaceutical. How many tomatoes do I have to eat to get the proper dosage versus how many tomatoes do you have to eat? And if you eat too many, do you get an overdose?”

. . . Republican representative noted that the University of California, Riverside, has already “perfected” vaccinating lettuce.

He also pointed to the University of California, Berkeley, which has conducted similar tests on tomatoes.

R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company has done similar work with tobacco products.

Reminds me of Homer Simpson with his “tomacco.” But not quite as funny.

And General Jack D. Ripper drinking only pure grain alcohol. But no longer comedic.

But Rule, Britannia! can feel ‘alienating’ to others, according to Labour culture spokesman Thangam Debbonaire.

They’ll be coming after the “Star Spangled Banner” next — after they get up off their knees, of course.
