Time to give props to my advertisers. One allows you to thank our man Tony Blair. I don’t care about his stance on any other issue; the way he has eloquently stood up for the war against terrorists in a much more hostile climate than the U.S. forever makes me grateful. Another advertiser, americanforum.net, is trying to foster debate between partisans. It needs more right-wingers to keep it from going the way of Democratic Underground, though. Finally, Life, Liberty, Etc. (home of the babe – though not as good as our babe – wearing the “Peace Through Superior Firepower” shirt) is back with a book about guns and freedom. Check them all out, or you are bad ronin.
Also, while on vacation, I got to see the first season of red vs. blue on DVD, and it was one of the funniest things I ever saw. It’s done with the Halo game engine and seems to be made by people with military experience (they have the newbie go on a snipe hunt identical to some mentioned in some of the Our Military stories). The second season, which I haven’t had a chance to see all of yet, is available on the web. Also, check out the PSA on this page about tattoos. Anyway, buy the DVD of the first season and then watch the second season and thank me later.

“It looks like some big cat or something.” “Like a puma?” “Yeah!”
Stop making creatures up!
There was an IMAO post a while back about how we’re only giving Saddam a trial to appease the democrats because there’s no way in hell that he could actually be innocent – Does anyone have a link to it? I’m going to post it on to americanforum.net. (Good place, btw) – There’s a discussion about Saddam getting a trial and I think it would be funny to add in.
I saw the first season of RvB a few months ago; it had my roommate and I in stitches. Good stuff.
I’ll check out americanforum tomorrow. I’m always up for a good debate during my lunch hour.

About the snipe thing…
I was watching a show about snipers on the History Channel a few months ago, and the word “sniper” originated from Europe sometime around the 19th/20th Century. Hunters would go into the field, hunting small, quick birds called snipes. If the hunter could nail one, he was obviously a great shot, and was thus called a “sniper.”
So “snipe hunting” really isn’t that much of a stretch.
I love RvB!!!
By the way Frank, I have to send you my peace gallery photos of me with my assorted weapons! Hooray for peace tools!
Not that you need to know or care: There are 19 species of snipe throughout the world. Only one lives year-round in North America: Wilson’s Snipe. It’s like a sandpiper.
No, I don’t know this by choice. It’s my job to know this.
Crawling back into my hole…
Jonathan,
Do you mean this one?

LifeLibertyEtc’s babe isn’t any better, she just has bigger guns.
Getting impatient for the Peace Gallery update!
“There are also people trying to get the holding of Saddam Hussein decalred unconstitutional. It would be nice if President Bush came out to clarify things by saying, “The guy is guilty, retards!” The whole trial is just to quiet the whiny bitches out there, and it doesn’t seem to be working. Trials are in case the person charged might be guilty, but there is no imaginable circumstance in which Saddam ain’t deserving a swift slow execution. If he doesn’t get called guilty and terminated, in will be a travesty of justice.”
Ah… Man that’s good stuff. Thanks Frank, that’s exactly what I was looking for.
RvB rocks!
Oh, and snipe hunts aren’t just limited to the military. I’ve sent many an underling in my Boy Scout troop on snipe hunts while at summer camp.
Although I wouldn’t be surprised if us Boy Scouts got the snipe hunt from the military.
I just GOTTA try that tank to pick chicks up.
“He took his skull off, and beat him to death with it”
“But how? That’s physically impossible!”
“He was wondering the same thing while dying.”
1) RvB is the only thing I have ever seen that is funnier than IMAO. Buy it, watch it, and bow before it.
2) I fully agree with giving Saddam a fair trial. Now remember what “fair” means – all involved get what they deserve. Saddam deserves death, so something about as unbiased as the Nuremburg trials seems about right. We can upgrade to junta later if we need to, but “Pissed-off Americans who just stomped a mudhole in your ass” should be about biased enough for now.
Red vs Blue is the best web series ever, based on the best game ever.
“He’s a pacifist?”
“A pacifer, isnt that something that babies suck on?”
“No thats a pedophile”
hehehe, so wrong, yet funny.
The second season finale is amazing.
I liked the Fourth of July PSA as well.
