Tony Blair recently announced that Syria and Iran can both play a role in helping keep the peace in Iraq. .
Syria and Iran seem to agree with Mr. Blair.
Said an Iranian diplomat, “With nuclear weapons, we could destroy Israel and finally bring peace to the Middle East. We guess that includes Iraq, too. We don’t know.””

I support the idea of “engaging” Syria and Iran. We’ve been avoiding them far too long. For openers, we could put forth some incentives by launching a few missles at certain remote government installations. Once we have their attention, we offer to finish the job by incinerating their capitals. Then see what proposals they come up with. You know: dialogue. Let’s give it a chance.
