Michelle Obama Apologizes: My Remarks Were Plagiarized

Michelle Obama’s comments recently raised eyebrows when she claimed, “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country.” In a prepared statement, Michelle Obama apologized claiming that her comments, much like her husband’s speeches, were plagiarized.
“America is a tremendous source of pride, not just because Obama is doing well in the elections. Other states are very proud to be American, even states that voted for Hillary Clinton.” The speech, which reflects little pride in American accomplishments, was written for another great leader, but unfortunately that leader is stepping down after 49 years in power.
Michelle vowed that her apology was sincere and from the heart. She says that she was and still is, proud to be an American but that “it depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.”

  4. This is exactly the way a Muslim would think. They hate this country. Obama’s wife speaks the truth. She was never proud of this country, even though 14 years ago she was making $51K as a clerk and now makes over $400K having been granted many new positions due solely to her husband’s status. Obama and his clan hate this country. They are just taking it for the ride that they know they can because of the fredoms they enjoy. Obama does not deserve to be President nor Commander in Chief. He wants the military gone so he can wage his own war over the peoples of the world, just like his family is doing in Africa today. And since he is African?, Hawaiian?, no wait, Muslim? well, his name IS Barack HUSSEIN Obama. You all tel me where his loyalties are. And don’t feed me any of that PC bs about how we must be diverse. Diversity is what killed off the American Indian. Remember them? We white europeans invaded their land and took it over, just as the Muslims and the Mexicans are doing today. Will the last American to leave please turn out the lights and take the flag? Thank you.

  5. Cindy McCain took that totally out of context. Fact is Cindy was in rehab for serious drug addiction at Betty Ford clinic years ago. McCain was tortured 5 years by the North Vietnamese (just might have damaged his brain, eh?) But we still respect them, so what’s the big deal? The fact is we SHOULD be proud of our country, but our country should give us something to be proud of. Are you proud of George W. Bush, a man his own father GHWB is embarrassed by? Are you proud of our getting hit by terrorists on 9/11 when GWB and Condi were sound asleep, despite being warned by the German BND intel service and Richard Clarke? Wake up, we need a TOTAL change, not Bush in sheep’s clothing, which is exactly what McCain and company are.

  26. Amazing how ignorant some people are on this site. It’s too bad that having a rational mind and the ability to evaluate evidence isn’t a requirement for voting.
    Just for comparisons, the anti-Muslim comments, which of course don’t even apply to Obama, who is a Christian raised by an atheist, aren’t so different from the run-of-the-mill smug anti-Jewish rhetoric that “good Europeans” used to spew. It took quite a pummeling to beat the smugness out of those “good Christians,” who in the end were really atheists at heart. What will be needed for their heirs, the self-satisfied liars and simpletons of the US?
    If you have even a slight inkling for ethics or justice, how can you be “proud” without reservation about a country where the government lies and breaks laws as a matter of policy? A country with more than its share of “good Christians” who happen to hate everyone who isn’t just like them?
    What the quotes show is that Michelle Obama is uncommonly honest and thoughtful, while Cindy McCain is just another hack’s wife hacking her way through her husband’s dull campaign.
    And why the knee-jerk reaction to be proud, anyway? What happens if you’re a bit indifferent?

I personally oversaw the vicious beating of those who did on my campus. But now that the Obama screwball is rolling, the moonbats are trolling, gloating before the election is even underway! I remain confident, however; they will reap the whirlwind when either Obama or Hillary is made the nominee… and the all MSM and special interest groups in the world won’t be able to hide their terrible records and sordid pasts. Not to mention both candidates are forgetting the “Angry White Man.” To all the trolls, go look up the article of the same name in the Aspen Times Weekly from February 9th… maybe that will slap some sense into you and make you realize that this election is FAR from over.

It was their incompetent Mayor Ray “UHH let me check to see if I have the power to tell the people to leave 5 days before the hurricane hit” Nagin. He also made it the situation better by deciding to take away lay abiding citizen’s weapons away. (What!?!? There’s some thing in the Constitution against that??? It was written specifically for an event like this??? Who Knew?)
    Also your lame attempt to bring in the troops to justify your anti-war rhetoric shows your vast ignorance of how the military works. No one is deployed in a combat zone for more than five years at a time. National Guard soldiers serve 18 months to 12 months at a time. Even then they get to come home for 2 weeks through their deployment.
    Doing simple fact checks might make others take you seriously and make you smarter.

    As for the meat of your post, I can be proud of my country for on the balance it has provided much more good than evil to the world in my total lifetime which BTW is roughly equivalent to Mrs Obama’s adult lifetime.
    If you wait for perfection from any human institution, you will always be disappointed.
    Why do you lefties always focus exclusively on the negatives? There is a balance between “my country right or wrong” and “my country is always wrong.”

    Two things,
    Michelle Obama did not say “proud without reservation,” she said it was the first time she was “proud” . . . at all.
    To expand on what Jimmy’s saying, she says she’s proud of her country right now – despite the fact this place hasn’t been changed to the 2nd Eden yet – so to the extent you want to attack us, feel free to attack her.
    A woman who is not proud of her country after helping out Bosnia, the fall of the Soviet Union, feeding people no one else will and fighting numerous dictators no one else will is neither very thoughtful nor honest with herself.

  58. Barak Obama has NO experience in the private sector. He has run NO business. Created NO jobs. He hasn’t had to worry about putting food on the table, his job being outsourced, his house being repossessed. He has NO real life experience. He didn’t even attend an actual public school in Hawaii (which I hear should merit combat pay).
    His wife SAID she was “for the first time” proud to be an American. Maybe that should be a clue for the rest of us. For decades we have allowed communities to run themselves into the ground. We have allowed others to blame their problems on everyone else but themselves. We have allowed them to get a pass, when others have to pay for their mistakes. We have allowed standards of decency in rhetoric and action to descend to a sub-civilized level. So in that way I am not proud of my country.
    I AM proud of my country for it’s willingness to give to others, for it’s compassion, for it’s willingness to share the hope of freedom, for it’s hard working, hard playing silent majority who keep on working, no matter how discouraged, disappointed and disenfranchised they feel. I am most proud of the ability I have to give my opinion without fear of repercussion, and the freedom others have to disagree with it.
    For all you trolls out there who don’t like this site. Go somewhere else, it’s still a free country ………. at least for a while.

  60. As a disenfranchised voter with no options for this November, I am observing this election now as an onlooker. Notwithstanding my opposite views, Obama seems like the most sympathetic person of the three. I feel sorry for him having this sorry excuse of a wife with her foot constantly in her mouth.
