Tonight

I do plan to live blog the election returns tonight, but I also hope to watch Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles off my computer too. See, my DVR didn’t record it last night. It said it was going to, but it didn’t for some reason. And it’s not like there were two other shows in the same time slot it recorded instead. So now I’ll have to watch the episode off of the FOX website, but watching a show off a laptop sitting on a TV tray just isn’t the same as watching it in HD on my big screen with digital sound. Anyway, I’ve never felt so betrayed by a piece of my home entertainment system before, and I just had to get that off my chest. I know I should be concerned about the election right now, but I can’t trust my DVR anymore… and despite all the hype, which do you think is more likely to directly affect me?

  1. I watched it on TiVo last night. Started it 20 minutes late to skip through all the commercials. Except the ones for Sonic.

Obviously, Skynet has infiltrated your DVR. Be careful.

There is no fate but what we make for ourselves

  2. Yeah the election won’t directly affect you. ‘Cept that I don’t have a DVR, so BO can spread your wealth to me. Would that be direct enough? I just repaired my old projection HDTV, cuz I could. But still, yours sounds nicer, so. . .

  3. Dude, it’s on Hulu. I know that’s about the same as the FOX website (but totally better, I’m sure). I’m just wondering how you could have possibly not known that.

And, well, the episode was alright. It was no season premiere, but Cromartie finally got to do something again.

  4. I, for one (not “The One” – I’m rarely for anyone else I don’t know), am looking forward to Frank’s live blogging tonight. This is it, folks. (Damn, am I that old?) I wanna say some really outrageous (but tasteful) things during the live blog.

  5. Woot Paleomedic got that one right! GeeSus losers hard up for something to watch roll around to that one. Uh but that would be anyone who has cable or satellite….turds festooned with corn. The difference is with HD the corn kernels are clear on Sarah Corner Cornicles.

[You’re not allowed on my blog anymore. -Ed.]

  6. Frank, I sympathize with you on the SCC/DVR issue. Despite what Freeman says, I like it. I never expected a Terminator storyline to rival Shakespeare. I’m entertained. I’m just sorry you couldn’t be entertained in big-screen HD.

  7. You could say that the Sarah CoRnRoll Cornicles do not rival Shakespeare. That is unless they had a turdrolling contest that came to an inglorious coRnclusion with really really really second rate actors that hack out pithy recycled food lines. For instance if the queen in mcbeth had a foodbaby with corncluster birthdefects.
